Aura Alex - my knowledge of anything that has to do with sports is nearly nil - a real strikeout.  And definitely more akin to a hole-in-none.   ⛳ 

I remember as a child, overhearing my dad talking to my mom about why some people use baseball analogies rather than football comparisons was that the nuances of football were likely to difficult to grasp.  That was a lightbulb moment for me.  "That's me".  I am "some" of those people.  Aura, if you like, you can join the club.  🙃

Aura Alex - I enjoy reading too and it certainly continues to add words and interpretations of them (many, admittedly, of my own invention).  🙃

Roy Kelley - while the colors and the temps may not be the same here as they are in Maryland, we are feeling the change in season.  Of course, like in so many places, weather often makes decision to leave with a whim so change can occur suddenly.  Enjoy your weekend.  

Endre Barath, Jr. - my mom still lives in the home she and my dad bought as new homeowners many decades ago.  She always said to me - moving again??  I haven't lived in as nearly as many places as you (or as many others) and never outside this country.  In life - it's all relative, right.  I like your dad's saying. It works.

As for sports and baseball in particular, I am sure there are more fair-weather fans than those who faithfully sit in their seats.  The world is a big place.  However, there continues to be a line of people waiting to get "somewhere".    The snack bar, the restroom or to the exit.  Maybe that's just Los Angeles Dodger games where traffic in the parking lot means leaving may take longer than the game.
