The Amount of Information is Awesome

Home Stager with Hallmark Sotheby's International Realty & Joyce's Interiors

It's almost 4:00AM, I couldn't sleep and here I am on

I had written a blog a few weeks ago how addicting this site is and the amount of information I have gained from it.

In the past half hour I have read information regarding buying staging items at Goodwill, how other stagers receive payments from clients and how their contracts read, the important points to marketing my business and myself and the list goes on.

The wealth of knowledge is impressive and the amount of sharing is heart warming, where else can someone log into and have so many peers be non competitive and grateful for the all the wonderful posts.

It's not a game, it's your life.

Great point!  By the way, I have a client selling a home and was thinking of painting the cabinets and making new holes for hardware.  Thanks to your home page, I'm going to offer a different solution based on your advice.  Guess we're all learning!

I agree with you Joyce.

Also... I hadn't thought of buying staging items at Goodwill.  I'm sure you have to be careful with what you bring into a listing.

Mark:  Thank you for reading my home page and I'm glad that you were able to find some helpful informaton.  My website is being created, hope once it's done you can find additional information.

Cameron:  It's true, I am careful with what I bring into someone's home.  The blog I read talked about buying hardcover books to use.  Great tip.

I have found Active Rain a tremendous place to gain knowledge.  I barely knew there was a home staging business until I joined Active Rain.  Now with cable TV the public also knows about staging.

Joyce -

The sharing on AR is one of its strengths!  I have learned so much from the community over the last few months I have participated here, and enjoy sharing our own experiences with others.

Five years ago - where would you have gotten this kind of community and support?

Thanks, as well, AR!

Joyce,  I feel like all I do is ask questions, but where else can I benefit from so much experience? This is a great place to be. BTW do you ever sleep?

Joyce, I agree with you.  The generosity at this site is immense.  Learning opportunities everywhere and even a little humor to make you smile.

Howdy from Houston!

Yes, this is where insomniac stagers get their rest, the night before the staging.  None of us can sleep, even if we've done the staging a 100 times, so we sit here, and share.....

P.S. I love Goodwill......the blue chairs were $4 a piece!  Shop Goodwill and Thrift Stores at the end of the month, and the beginning (when people move and discard their 'good stuff').
