Advertising on AR: Ask Me About Allegiance!

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Allegiance, Managing Broker/Branch Vice President

This morning I noticed that my real estate brokerage, RE/MAX Allegiance has started running ads in the ActiveRain Sponsors area that shows up on your screen along the side or along the top every time you log in to the site.  Our RE/MAX franchise has a strong presence in the Washington D.C. area, including over 1200 agents in over 35 offices throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.  In addition to the immediate Capital Area, RE/MAX Allegiance also has office locations in Annapolis, Maryland, Richmond VA, Roanoke VA, and Virginia Beach.

I wonder if their recruiting advertisement appears on everyone's screen or whether it is targeted only to Maryland, D.C., and Virginia members:

RE/MAX Allegiance

ATTENTION MARYLAND, VIRGINIA, AND D.C. AGENTS:

If you have any questions about RE/MAX Allegiance, please feel free to contact me confidentially any time and I'd love to talk with you about the brokerage.  I've been with RE/MAX Allegiance for over 5 years and watched the company grow from 5 or 6 offices and about 200 agents to the size it is today.

Here are some facts about RE/MAX Allegiance:

  • #1 in Sales Volume Internationally in RE/MAX for 2006!
  • #12 Real Estate Brokerage in the United States!
  • Top Award Winner in RE/MAX for 2006.
  • The World's #1 Selling RE/MAX Company
  • Average Annual Agent Commission -- $100,000+

If you are dissatisfied with your current brokerage or just interested in learning more about RE/MAX, and particularly RE/MAX Allegiance, I'd be happy to talk with you.

In the meantime, click on the RE/MAX Allegiance advertisement on Active Rain to read some more about the company.

Brian, I think it says something that your brokerage has embraced this platform and is using it in that way.  Good for them.

Very cool, don't know where it is posted, if it is everywhere, hope it is targeted for your area, since it should help.

Hi Brian... I have not noticed it (and I am pretty observant), but now I will keep a closer watch for it.  Regardsless, I think it's a great idea for agent recruitment... someone in D.C. took theior smart pill!

Brian, I'll keep a look out for it. They might zone it by IP address so it is local. Haven't seen it here in North Texas yet.

Brian - I have not noticed it yet here in Ontario Canada so I would think that it must be targeted (which only makes sense)

Brian,  I suspect it is only in the area where RE/MAX Allegiance has a presence - advertising elsewhere would be a waste of money.  Art Kruschka

Hi Brian, recruiting in today's market with specific targeted advertising is one of the key ways of getting brokerages noticed.  It has been a very effective tool.  Nice recruiting post.

Brian,

I have done some advertising on AR.  I don't know what RE/MAX set up but you can target by geography and a few other pieces of profile information (ie just show to Realtors). AR also allows the advertiser to select where on the site the ads show.

Advertising is very interesting, but follow up is more important.  I had called your company about affiliating with them a while ago, left several messages at several locations and no one ever returned the call.
