About 10 years ago I took my son to the Cape May County Zoo, which is located in Cape May Court House, just of of Route 9 (Exit 11 on the GSP).
I was shocked at what a great place this was to visit. Even more shocking was the fact that it was right in my home County. It had always been there, it's just that I never got around to seeing it. We have returned many times since.
This zoo is really special! It has a great variety of animals and plant life and it really fits in with the environment. Although it does get busy in the summer, it is really perfect in the spring and fall, when you can't believe that more people aren't there enjoying all that the park and zoo have to offer.
If you are planning a trip to our area, the Zoo is a "must see". Oh, and by the way,....it's free! (although they do accept donations).
I've been to several zoos, and this can hold up to any of them....
