If any of you saw my comment on Wayne's Post, I am going to proceed as follows with what I believe to be the right way to do things based on my vast experience gained on Friday night :)
Set up the template and structure for the blog; I learned from my website what a pain it is to restructure after the fact, and I assume it will be the same with Wordpress.
Write My First post to my now repaired blog.
Start optimizing my Blog so that people will find it:
- Link to it from my AR and other blog spots. (including links in posts)
- Link to and From my blog and my websites (relevant text links as well)
- Attempt to set up a listing feed.
- Attempt to set up feeds from other blogs I subscribe to.
- Gather support from affiliates in the community, encourage them to visit and leave posts with links back to themselves (and they in turn link back to me)
- Submit the blog site to search engines and directories
Continue posting to my blog, and soliciting visitors.
