I was asked recently  (by Valerie Osterhoudt) to post a picture of me on my horse.  (Sorry it took me so long!)  Well, I've posted these pictures before, but I thought it would be all right to post them again:

That's me on Blade on a beautiful day!  Blade & I on a beautiful day!

Having fun!

Pretty animals!  I love horses, but they are so hard to take care of.  Maybe when I retire.

What beautiful horses.  Reminds me of when I use to ride as a kid with my best friends.  We had the best times, laughing and galloping across the fields.

How beautiful! I looked into taking my 3 kids (teens now) horseback riding here in Central Florida... guess how much they were chargind me?

$60 an hour per person...

That was a bit high...but I would have loved it!

Kristin -  LOL!  Thank you!  Being a twin is pretty cool.  I always thought it would be nice to have a younger sibling, though - and you have 2!  I bet they're adorable, expecially if they look like they're oldest sister...    :)

Put 40 years of experience to work for you

Hey Debi: You look like a natural on that horse. Well, you most likely are a natural. And your posture is incredible. I'm a lousy horseback rider -- bounce all over the place. I rode bareback at a friend's urging once, and when the horse turned around to head back to the barn, it tore off at a full gallop with me hanging on to the mane and screaming my bloody fool head off. It was the most frightening experience I've ever had in my life, except for the time I woke up one morning to discover that, yes, I actually did marry that guy. But I do admire those who feel comfortable around horses and truly love the dreaded little beasts.

Gary - Thank you!  I hope you have a good weekend, too - It's rainy and cold here...  :)

Alisha - Thank you! - By the way, I like your name (My 19-year-old daughter is named "Alisha")!  :)

Elizabeth - LOL!  You do have a way with words...  I'm sorry that you had a bad experience on a horse.  That horse was obviously not trained well -  I think you would enjoy riding a well-trained horse...  :)
