If you experience a hail storm in your area do not take it lightly. Hail storms damage roofs! I recently inspected two homes that the roof shingles were damaged and appeard to be at least 15 yrs old and at the end of their life expectancy. Both owners said the shingles were newer and installed in 2001 or 2002. I found out the shingles were damaged in a hail storm. Insurance companies do cover this but you have to report it in a timely manner. If you have a hail storm get out and inspect that roof. If you can't call a roofer or a friend it could say you thousands.
