Well I know that Thanksgiving is a day that families gather and give thanks.....yet we all know there is a lighter side of the day......watching football.
I remember when I was younger there was just the one game and yes it was the Detroit Lions game. They have taken a true bashing this week on sports talk that they do not deserve to have the prime time spotlight today. I love tradition and can they really be this bad much longer?
The NFL hass scheduled more games over the years because of the TV draw it gets on this day......and the many gatherings will certainly have many of their guests around the TV at some point.
I will attempt to draw the ire of my family when I switch The Miracle on 34th Street during the first game today.....oh wait it is the Lions game, oh well I guess no one will care......LOL (actually this is for my Michigan living Sister who monitors my blog......love ya Sis!
The best part, I get to have my home abandoned early because most of the family have Eagles season tickets and will down for the late game of the day.......WooHoo!!!!!!
My picks for the day......
The Titans......I may have gone for the upset in Detroit if the Titans we not beaten so soundly last week by the Jets.....
The Cowboy's......Romo and TO back on track last week....the Seahawks not much of a foe this year.....
And the Cardinals wrapping up the division.....again I am a Warner fan and last weeks blowup by the Eagles may be the end for this season.....OH, did I say this out loud?.....LOL
