Holiday Hangover

By
Real Estate Agent with Frank Rubi Real Estate

That's what I have.  At least I am blaming it on this.  I just don't feel like doing anything except watching television and being lazy.  Any one else in this mood?  I hope I don't stay like this for the rest of the year.  Of course the way home sales are going I could.  I do have one commercial deal I hope to wrap up in the next two weeks.  This deal has been in the works since February thanks to permit hold ups and red tape.

I also feel a bit lazy today! Now is a perfect time to work on your pipeline for next year.  Do some of the things you put off when you are so busy.  I already have my client xmas cards handwritten and are going out today!

I have felt lazy.  Unfortunately all my side jobs have kept me busy.

Now is the time to plant the seeds for next years harvest.  SInce interest rates took a dive, this is your prime opportunity to contact buyers who may have been on the fence and get them to make the move.  Pick up that phone while you are on the couch and you will thank yourself for doing it later in 2009.

A few days of rest and relaxation are fine.  We all need them, just get back out there.  Shopping is a great way to meet people, hand out your cards and pick up business.  If you sit in your house you will likely not meet very many folks who could use your service.  I am sure with a prospect of hope you will be very motivated to work work work.

I was lazy yesterday morning...it felt good to be in the warm afterglow of the holiday.  But around 10 AM after reading my favorite AR bloggers, I got back to work.  It was a Friday, after all.  If you don't pick up the ax, you won't get the lumber.  Pull yourself together.  Make a list.  Call some people or just get out and see them.  Network.  What you do today sows seeds for tomorrow, next month, next year.  Move it!  LOL!

Ok John....a little R & R and then hit the desk, street, phone, mail, e-mail...Louisiana is such a beautiful state....we know there are people who want a piece of it...decide you will be the one to sell it to them !  Happy holidays !

Thanks for all of the kind words.  I think I will be lazy until Monday at least.

I seem to have a bit of a Pecan Pie hangover if there is such a thing.  Went for a walk this morning to try and get my motivation up a bit.

Yeah, this time of year seems to breed those feelings, maybe it is the lack of sun light :)  :)

Hi John.

Thanksgiving is a 5 day holiday, isn't it?

Relax, watch a little football, and get back at it on Monday.

John - I understand the feeling.  I shut down Thursday and Friday and enjoyed Thanksgiving, football, family and friends.  I am gearing up today slowly by getting on my computer for the first time since Wednesday afternoon.  Time off did a lot of good for me but I need to move forward.  All the best to you and your business.

I only allow myself a "holiday hangover" once I accomplish my daily tasks. Persistent and consistent in my daily work has worked well for me for 43 years.
