About six months ago, we adopted a beagle named Shiloh from the Washburn County Animal Humane Society in Spooner, Wisconsin. (Yes, we drove two hours for a dog!!!) Every month I get a newsletter from WCAHS, which I love to read. I would have to say that WCAHS does a great job taking care of the animals and finding fundraisers to keep them going. I have been nothing but impressed, and do everything I can to help them out.
While on their site yesterday, downloading "The Scoop" online (cheaper for them if I print it myself rather than having it mailed), I noticed that they linked to "Goodsearch.com", which would send all proceeds back to the shelter, or charity of your choice.
Goodsearch is powered by yahoo search, and the results are good. I've been impressed with most results I get from the search, and the layout and format. I of course search "Mora Minnesota Real Estate" and "Realtor Mora Minnesota" and "Joslyn Panka" right away. All of us dying for those top search engine spots sound so big-headed because we're searching ourselves every day. I'm moving up, and that's good! I just figured, since I search those keywords, along with other random searches on a regular basis, why not do it through a search engine that gives back? Especially to a place where we got Shiloh, who we found by talking to them and the shelter screening us to find the perfect dog for our family. She has been a perfect fit, and we have been very grateful for the honesty, integrity, and great care WCAHS offers.
If you're interested, and would like more information, check out www.goodsearch.com or www.WCAHS.org. Even if we give back in small ways, it all adds up!
