When I initially started blogging over one and a half years ago, I never knew where it would lead me. Since that day, I have shared over 1500 articles across the world wide web on 10 different blog sites. It has brought me more business than I ever thought that I would have gotten from blogging. The great news is, it never seems to end. I know that I can work from sun up to sun down and know that I still have more that I can do.
With that said, today is a special day for us at R & D Management. It all revolves around a website that we launched at the end of October in 2008. The website is Positive Real Estate Professionals. The creation of PREP (as we affectionately call it) was to counter ALL the negative press that is being funneled by the media. It is not that are not willing to accept that the market is in turmoil as much as it is that we want people to realize that sitting on the sidelines is not the answer either. However, that is a bird of a different color and not the reason for this post today.
Today, I am here to talk about the power of SEO, or better known as search engine optimization. There is an old saying that it is all in the name. Well, I am here to tell you that it is still true today. This morning, I decided to do a Google search on Positive Real Estate Professionals to see just how much our efforts paid off. Frankly, I was not surprise when I search the name of the website to find it firmly entrenched in the first spot on the first page of the google search. Actually, it was what I found after that search that had me excited.
I decided to search 2 more variations of the title and see how they both turned out. So, the first that I checked out was Real Estate Professionals. This also populated our website into the first spot on the first page of the Google search. The next search was Positive Real Estate and I got the same result. While writing this post, I decided to check out what Positive Real Estate Pros turned up. Just like the 3 searches before it, we were in first place on the first page.
In a nutshell, the name has done exactly what we knew that it would and to top it off, we did it in less than 4 months.
