Hello Kat, Yes, she posed for me! She was in the same place for a couple of hours, I left where she was, and when I came back, she was still there. Nice of her to hang out for a few more shots!

Hey Paul, No, your bird picture does NOT look sick! I love the broken branch, too. It adds a bit of mystery....what happened? A storm? High winds? Leaves something to the imagination.... What camera are you using?

Hi Debi - For me it's not possible to tire of nature's beauty. After we spoke today it occurred to me that I've been to the same wetlands park. Is it Wakodahatchee Wetlands Park with lots of boardwalk area? We used to live in Lake Worth, right next door to Boynton Beach which abuts Delray/Beach. Anyway, the photo is "1st class"....same as you :-)
Cheryl, I'd never heard of them either. I had to identify most of the birds I shot when I got home - thank goodness for the web! The array of birds there is incredible, and they are so very different from anything we see here. It was a photographers' paradise. If I lived there, I'd be there everyday.

Gail, Yes! That's the place! Amazingly well set up to get you close to the birds and the animals. The viewing there is awesome. OMG! We've been to the same place! LOL I heard there is a wild animal park somewhere in the area, lions and such. Would like to visit there, too. Maybe we can do it together sometime!!!!!!!!!!

Morning Debi - Lion Country Safari is in Loxahatchee, not too far from the West Palm Beach area. Been there once a long time ago, it was well put together. Even got to ride an elephant, not sure I'd do it again based on some of elephant horror stories we hear. I just found out one of our acquaintances is a bird tour guide here at Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. I've emailed to get his schedule....this could be fantasmagoric!!! I'm sowing seeds ;-)
