It pleases us to announce that a New Codger Lodge has been obtained! The really cool thing about inhabiting our little corner of cyber-space, is that such things are possible. We did this for those interested in cyber-fishing on the greatest of the Great Lakes, Lake Superior, or at least the virtual rendition of it.

This change was made to make it easier for the redoubtable Lenn Harley, noted fisher-person from back-east to reach the cyber Big Lake. Oh, also, Lenn was concerned with Medford’s big bald head & ultraviolet rays during the coming months of high-summer, and our proximity to the North Cyber Pole. Check out his new headgear!

Maggie’s Cabin © 2007 Codger™ ImagesOur former lodge is now the cyber-home of our new Cyber-Broker, Maggie Florida. The cabin, rent-free for the first year was part of the compensation offered to Maggie (hey—where’d Carl go?).

It’s Fishing Opener in Minnesota, and ‘though not a fisherman myself, Medford, Carl, Harold & Molly are (Carl is still seeking Ira Piranha—rumored to be holed up in the nearby Cyber Boundary Waters area), and this lodge-move seemed to be appropriate, considering. What do you think about opening day occurring on Mother’s Day weekend?

We just heard from Carl—he’s found Ira Piranha!

EXCELLENT! ! !

I'm on my way to my fishing tackle department a/k/a corner of my garage to see if I have any lures of an appropriate size and type for the Muskie, Pike and Walleye that are probably found in Cyber-Lake Superior.

I'll send them on so visitors can borrow.

Borrowers will please sign out for virtual tackle used and check in when returning.

Love Medford's hat.

J ay, you HAVE been busy! The Lodge looks great. And I too love Meds new sombrero. Carls looks like quite the imposing figure. I like that. Size does help. Being 6'2 260 I can vouche for that. For some reason folks seem to be nicer. :)

Lysa: Thank you. The background jpeg was one I found in my collection of North Shore photos. It is of a rocky point near the Two Harbors, MN Lighthouse. It made a perfect backdrop for the new lodge. The former lodge is Cyber-Broker Maggie’s cyber home (you must understand that a cyber-commute from Cyberlake Superior takes milliseconds, so the distance doesn’t really matter).

Sarah: One might say his negotiating skills are just a bit heavy-handed (on Ira’s shoulder).

CBB: Carl is a little taller, a little lighter, and a good deal older than you—still, size often diffuses a situation before it gets out of hand.

kk: Umm—except experience with our little store indicates our product appeal is very limited: 29 items, sold between 01/08/07 & 04/09/07 for a total profit of $17. YeeeHaaaw! We’re rich!

Jay, wow!  I got a new place.  You guys sure make working for you sweet!  You sure have been busy with the graphics.  I am very impressed.

By the way, Chris' "crib" is the way hip, cool people refer to their home.  As in, Jay, your crib sure is smokin'!!  My child just advised me that I am not to use that word in that way.  I, apparently, am not cool enough to warrant using it.  Oh well.

Broker Maggie: Just wait 'til you get your first cyber -estate situation to resolve! You'll soon have an opportunity to participate in the melodrama. Hope you're excited about selecting your lodge furnishings.

I know "crib" as home, it's been around for years. In the sixties it was a "pad" where you"crashed." I was trying to learn if my favorite smarty-aleck, Peep was suggesting we were entering a second childhood phase ;-).
