I am responsible for all of the online businesses at Network Communications (NCI) including The Real Estate Book (TREB), Apartment Finder, and our Home Design magazines. Additionally, I run our By Design Publishing division. By Design Publishing is a set of products dedicated to agent personal brand development. In that capacity I am an active participant in shelter related marketing - from listing advertising and distribution both offline and online to lead generation activities and brand building programs. Our company participates in over 500 local markets around the company, giving us a relatively unique perspective on how agents are using the available tools to effectively market their listings and themselves.
Given my scope of responsibilities, I am very interested to understand how agents are marketing their listings and themselves. I am a firm believer that the only sustainable competitive advantage an agent can develop is their personal brand. Their brand is the sum total of their experience, their knowledge, their relationships and their marketing savvy - without those elememnts, agents provide a remarkably standard service. I am interested to understand the ways that agents have leared to stand out in the crowd and grow beyond their natrual market share of transactions.
