We have a new addition to our area….can you guess what it might be?? Let me give you a hint: A place that everyone including your dog will enjoy! Can you believe we finely have our own PARK!?!?!?! Yes, here in Denver, NC (Lake Norman). There are plenty of parks around Lake Norman but this is the very first for us. Oh, how I would have loved it to be here when my son was little. The Fallout! As most of you know we had a HUGE snow fall March 1st into March 2nd…..so now comes the fall-out. Schools were cancelled March 2nd & 3rd so now comes the make-up. Children in the Lincoln Country school district will be going to school on Saturday’s….yes you heard it right, Saturday’s!The first Saturday make-up day will be March 14 and the second day will be April 4. Building in Denver, NC has been given a GREEN light . . . if the economy cooperates! Lincoln County commissioners have just approved a plan to allow nearly 800 new homes to be built in and around the Denver area. Prior to this the area has had a two-year long self-imposed moratorium on new sewer permits sighting the ten-year old Forney Creek wastewater plant was near capacity and the county was concerned about getting state penalties if they went over capacity.
