My Take on the Market Spring 2016 - Dahlonega & Dawsonville Depending on where you are at, school has just let out or about to be out for the summer. Expect buyers to take a quick summer vacation ASAP, and then be back on a serious house hunt. We are now in the 'buyers are on vacation' cycle. As of Aug. 8, 2013 Lumpkin County has 225 single family homes on the market. 43 Additional homes are under contract. 31 Homes sold last month. Only 12 were foreclosures. Highest sales price, $425,000. Lowest sales price, $22,000 11 Townhouse’s are on the market and 2 more are under contract. 2 Sold last month for $185,000 & $125,000 226 Developed Lots are on the market and 7 more are under contract. 2 3+ Acre lots on Ben Higgins Rd. sold for $35,000 each. First MLS is only showing 9 closed sales for October in Lumpkin County. Four of them were foreclosures and 2 were short sales. In other words two thirds of the closings were distressed sells. We have 215 homes listed for sell and an additional 47 under contract in the county. The highest sales price, $550,000 was in Achasta and the lowest was a double wide on Gordon Seabolt Road for $53,000. The townhouse / condo section has 19 active listings and three more that were under contract. There were 2 closed sales in October, a townhouse in Achasta for (0 comments)
