Dot Beck had a wonderful school for kids!
Kids and parents loved the Dot Beck Kindergarten in Searcy AR.  My own son, Paul, first on the left front row, loved going there.  I seem to recognize a few others of the children but it would be nice if everyone could be named.  The second lady on back row, left, was Lorene Smith.  Lorene became a REALTOR, owned her own real estate office, and was very successful in her new profession.  Dot Beck is the first on right on back row.

classes: Continuing education class was today....with break-outs...UGH - 02/09/08 09:54 AM
My state of Arkansas requires 6 hours of continuing education each year.  We are also required to have a class on ethics every 4 years so I "killed two birds with one stone" today and attended a class that was sponsored by one of our banks in town.  The bank provided the food, the instructor, and door prizes!!  I love them.
It seems that each time I go to an education class anymore the instructors do this "break into small groups, appoint a spokesperson, and report back what you think about this" type instructing.  I hate that and wonder if you do … (27 comments)

classes: Making lemonade out of lemons....my broker. - 12/11/07 12:29 PM
We had a class today that was sponsored by our Board of Realtors.  It was about our new state forms and how they were changing at the first of the year.  It was a class that should have been attended by everyone, especially the brokers. 
Our Board consisting of about 120 agents had about 40 people in attendance.  Our office with about 35 touted full-time agents had 13 show up, sans broker. 
After two hours of squirming and learning we were released with some new knowledge in our heads.  When I got back to the office and attacked the broker about  his not being … (14 comments)
