Marketing Isn't Important To Grow Your Business! Right, how else are we suppose to build a successful business, besides doing some kind of marketing. I have never known any real estate business or any other business for that matter to not use some kind of marketing. Renting or Buying, What Would You Do? Are you someone that would rather rent than buy? Honestly, I don't see how anyone would want to rent if your able to buy. I know I wouldn't rent! However, if your not sure if your going to be or want to be in the area your in for a long period of time (I say at least 3 years), if your budget isn't good enough to take on that type of investment, or have credit issues, then renting is really the only logical thing to do. I almost forgot what the blogging world was like. For the past month, I have been dealing with issues that come second to nothing...My Family! The funny thing is that business kept on keeping on too! Wednesday of this week, I received an email from a very nice couple who wanted me to show them a couple of homes this morning. We had agreed to meet at the first home. Note: Both of these homes are foreclosures. They both have lockboxes, but no signs in the yard. Wow! What a wonderful job of marketing that is being done here. I guess I should add that one of the homes had the lockbox, but the code was wrong and the agent has yet to return my call. My buyers want to go under contract within a WEEK! … (23 comments)

We all have hot buttons and reasons that we do what we do. I am sure we are hoping to make a living selling Real Estate, but what is your focus? Is it the commission check? Is it the satisfaction of having a closing? For me, it is simply to do the best job I can for my sellers. I tend to get very emotionally attached to my sellers property. Last Friday was a big day for me. I was going to spend the day with some very special buyers. What made them so special? I am selling both of their homes, as they are getting married in July. We were going to spend Friday out looking at homes. We are up against a July 19 deadline.
