jason stewart: Computer Gender - 09/12/13 01:03 AM
As per women, computer is masculine because -
1. In order to get their attention, you have to turn them on.
2. They have a lot of data but are still clueless.
3. They are supposed to help you solve your problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that, if you had waited a little longer, you might have had a better model.

As per men, computer is feminine because -
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to … (2 comments)

jason stewart: Death Preparation - 09/05/13 12:34 AM
Barry and Hannah, an old married couple,  are sitting on the couch watching TV. On the show they were speaking about how to prepare in case of death etc.
“Honey,” says Barry, turning to his wife with a serious expression, “I want you to promise me, that if there ever comes a time that I am dependent on just machines and bottled fluid, that you will make sure to  put an end to it.”
“No problem hun,” said Hannah, and she promptly got up, turned off the TV, and poured his beer down the drain.…

jason stewart: We Should All Be Like Her - 09/03/13 11:55 PM
A very old lady looked in the mirror one morning. She had three remaining hairs on her head, and being a positive soul, she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she braided her three hairs, and she had a great day.
Some days later, looking in the mirror one morning, preparing for her day, she saw that she had only two hairs remaining. "Hmm, two hairs... I fancy a centre parting today." She duly parted her two hairs, and as ever, she had a great day.
A week or so later, she saw that she had just one hair left … (0 comments)

jason stewart: Urinalysis - 09/03/13 11:00 PM
One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Jack says to Mike behind him, "My elbow hurts like hell. I guess I better see a doctor."
"Listen, you don't have to spend that kind of money," Mike replies. "There's a diagnostic computer at the drugstore at the corner. Just give it a urine sample and the computer'll tell you what's wrong and what to do about it. It takes ten seconds and costs ten dollars...a hell of a lot cheaper than a doctor."
So Jack deposits a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to the drugstore. He deposits ten dollars, … (0 comments)

jason stewart: Embrace Change - 08/27/13 05:33 AM
Embrace Change
No one can argue that Tiger Woods, one of the greatest golfers in history, has changed the face of golf forever. And it didn’t happened by accident.
Despite his impressive talent and athleticism, Woods willfully changed his swing three times in his career, each time in an effort to improve his already impressive game. When he first changed it in 1997 after winning the Masters, he was ranked No. 2 in the world. Seven years later, after winning seven more major championships, he did it again. Then in 2010, ranked No. 1 in the world, he did it … (0 comments)

jason stewart: False Belief - 08/24/13 11:12 PM

As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime can break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.
He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at … (2 comments)

jason stewart: Attitude - 08/20/13 10:08 PM
One day a wealthy father took his son to a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be. To prove his point, the wealthy man allowed his son to spend a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family.
When the boy got back from their trip the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”
“Very good Dad!”
“Did you see how poor people can be?” the father asked. “Yes!” he answered.
“And what did you learn?”
The son thought for a moment before he answered, “Well, I saw that we have one dog at … (2 comments)

jason stewart: Brown is the Color of the Day! - 03/07/13 10:10 PM

Once a captain on his ship was disturbed by his assistant telling him, “Sir! Sir! There are 5 enemy ships on the horizon.”
The captain tells the man,” Get my red coat and prepare for battle!”
The assistant runs without question to get the captains red coat and prepares for battle. After their victory the assistant asks the captain why he wanted his red coat.
The captain tells the assistant “If I was shot you would not be able to tell I’m bleeding and you would keep fighting.”
The assistant thought this was a great idea. The next day the … (2 comments)

jason stewart: Famous Marketing Screw Ups - 01/18/13 08:49 PM

- Coors put its slogan, "Turn it loose," into Spanish where it was read as "Suffer from diarrhea."

- The Coca-Cola name in China was first read as "Ke-kou-ke-la", meaning "Bite the wax tadpole" or "female horse stuffed with wax", depending on the dialect. Coke then researched 40,000 characters to find a phonetic equivalent "ko-kou-ko-le", translating into "happiness in the mouth."

- Pepsi's "Come alive with the Pepsi Generation" translated into "Pepsi brings your ancestors back from the grave", in Chinese.

- When Gerber started selling baby food in Africa, they used the same packaging as in … (5 comments)

jason stewart: Bad Day to a Good Day - 12/31/12 11:27 AM

“If you’re in a bad situation, don’t worry it’ll change. If you’re in a good situation, don’t worry it’ll change.” John A Simone
Just Laugh –  Find something that will make you laugh. Call someone, watch a funny movie, or just sit down and stroll down funny memory lane.
Take it Outside – Get out. Take the time to enjoy your surroundings.   Fresh air will also help alter your mood.  Fresh air can be so healing and so purifying.
Take some quiet time –  If your day is really bad, being alone in a quiet place may work for … (2 comments)

jason stewart: Happy Thoughts - 12/21/12 10:17 AM

Bad days are normal.  Yes, this is true and you should not feel guilty about it.    Happiness is not and will never be constant.  Accepting sadness, disappointments or whatever negative emotions, do not make you a bad person.  Instead it makes you stronger, and it’s the best time to learn a lesson.
There is a huge difference between quitting and moving on.  Moving on doesn’t mean you are giving up. There are things in life that no matter what you do, it will not work out the way you want it.   Moving on is showing how strong you are … (4 comments)

jason stewart: Coffee Substitutes! - 12/01/12 08:24 AM

Tea
Hot tea provides a warm drink alternative to coffee. You can choose a tea that tastes good on its own---like green tea---or you can choose one to add cream and sugar to for a sweeter taste---like black tea. Green tea is a popular tea choice because it is high in antioxidants. Black tea is a stronger flavored tea that has a bit more caffeine in it. Tea can be sweetened with stevia in place of sugar. Stevia is a natural sweetener that can be found in Health Food stores.

jason stewart: The Less You Know,The More You Think You Know - 11/28/12 10:03 AM

It has been scientifically proven that the less you know, the more you think you know. This is known as the Dunning-Kruger effect. The basic idea behind it has been a well-established rule for centuries. Charles Darwin, for instance, has stated "Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge". It has been empirically proven in 1999, by psychologists David Dunning and Justin Kruger in their report "Unskilled and Unaware of It: How Difficulties in Recognizing One's Own Incompetence Lead to Inflated Self-Assessments". This was proven through a study in which participants take tests of their logical reasoning skills, grammatical skills, … (4 comments)

jason stewart: Six Small Meals Are Better Than Three Big Ones - 11/23/12 08:03 PM

It's advice that's been circulating for years: Six small meals are better for you than three big ones -- especially if you're trying to lose weight. The "six small meals" method of dropping pounds is based on the idea that by eating more frequently throughout the day, you'll boost your metabolism and burn more calories. Some take it a step further by insisting eating smaller meals mean you'll never feel hungry, which makes it easier to control the urge to overeat (or eat all the wrong things). But is grazing on snacks really better for you than sitting down to … (4 comments)

jason stewart: People We Need to Thank - 11/21/12 08:14 PM

Recent research has shown that giving thanks increases health and happiness. Often that practice is translated into some kind of thoughtful thankfulness, giving a nod for numerous blessings that have improved our lives.

·        The Advocate
We all need bridge-builders in our lives, those people who expose us to new opportunities, who introduce us to important connections, who make the impossible possible by standing in the gap for us. A big thank you to all you good references out there. You know who you are.

Life can be tough. Mornings are particularly tough and Monday mornings. … (2 comments)

jason stewart: Characteristics that Make Real Estate Unique - 11/18/12 05:46 AM

·  No fixed maturity Unlike a bond which has a fixed maturity date, an equity real estate investment does not normally mature. This feature of real estate allows an owner to purchase a property, execute a business plan, then dispose of the property whenever appropriate. An exception to this characteristic is an investment in fixed-term debt; by definition a mortgage would have a fixed maturity.
·  Tangible Real estate is, well, real! You can visit your investment, speak with your tenants, and show it off to your family and friends. You can see it and touch it. A result … (1 comments)

jason stewart: Dont Short Sale if... - 11/15/12 02:01 AM

Short Selling is not always a good idea. San Diego Realtors seem to know that a short sale is usually the best option; you however need to know when it's not.
