I've written three posts so far this month about specific things and people I am thankful for in my life. When I tried to narrow down what I wanted to write about for my fourth and final entry, I couldn't decide. What I did decide was to make a random list of things that bring comfort and joy into my life (and a few personal philosophies). I could write a blog post about each one, but I'll save you from that. Here they are, in no particular order of importance: Gratitude for Freedom Cherishing Personal Health and Learning to Adapt Appreciating (15 comments)

"The question wasn't at what age I wanted to retire, it was a choice of balancing a comfortable income, getting my health back, and pursuing a vision for my future." -Carol Williams This year the ActiveRain November Challenge is to write a 300-word post each day for 10 days about what we are thankful for. Today I am thankful for RETIREMENT. That only takes 3 words: "It Is Awesome". Period. I retired in 2011 shortly after my husband passed away. I was 59. "The couples that are meant to be together are the ones that go through everything that could tear them apart but instead makes them stronger."
In my desire to write about how thankful I am for my husband, I looked back on my post from last year: 12 Days of Thanksgiving 2017: Day 2. I don't want to be redundant and repeat myself. However, I can't imagine participating in writing a series on what I am thankful for without including Max. So, in addition to what I said last year, let me add: I've heard the saying that you can tell a lot (24 comments)
