The Burke Substance Abuse Network (BSAN) has kicked off its campaign to encourage citizens to properly dispose of their unused medications.
Through a program named Burke County Operation Drop Box, there are  two safe locations to drop off unused or expired medications, over-the-counter medications, medication samples, pet medications, medicated ointments and lotions, inhalers and unopened epi-pens.Those locations are at the Burke County Sheriff’s Office in Morganton (NC)  and the Valdese Police Department (NC).

For small-town North Carolina, we've got a lot going on on the yoga front these days! This coming weekend is the first-ever Yoga on the Lawn, to take place on the Courthouse Square here in Morganton NC, in recognition of Recovery Month and to benefit the Burke Substance Abuse Network. It really promises to be a great time, the weather promises to be beautiful (fall is almost here!), and my hopes are that lots of people will show up!
