the debbie reed team: A Cleaning Tip - 12/07/11 06:02 AM
I just have to pass along a cleaning tip for all who might be getting ready for the Holidays, or ready to sell their homes!  The off-white walls in my house were looking grimy and sad, but I'm not able to paint quite yet.  I've tried different spray cleaners, but nothing helped much.  Then last week, I tried the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.  It worked wonders!  Smudges--gone!  Black mars--gone!  Weird, unexplainable marks--gone!  I am amazed and thrilled.  I'd tried this product years ago with no success, but Mr. Clean has it figured out now.  There were some  blemishes that will be … (3 comments)

the debbie reed team: The Season Is On! - 05/05/11 04:01 AM
There are only 3, short weekends left until Memorial Day, and here at the beach that means one thing..."the season" is on!  The beginning of concerts at the bandstand, longer business hours for shops and restaurants, crab houses, french fry stands and ice cream establishments opening, lifeguards on duty, parking meters in service, warmer weather, sunnier days and tenants in rental units.  This last item, tenants in rental units, makes shopping for property at the beach a little bit trickier for buyers and their agents.  If a condo or house is fully rented, REALTORS(r) usually only have a small window of opportunity … (3 comments)

the debbie reed team: The New Face of Westminster Presbyterian Church - 01/25/11 08:37 AM
Westminster Presbyterian Church has sat at the corner of King Charles and Laurel Streets in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, since the early 1930's.  At the height of the Great Depression, the Midway Presbyterian Church (Rt. 1, Rehoboth), decided a Presbyterian presence was needed "in town," to provide worship and ministry for the tourists.  Nevermind that times were tough and money tight.  The vision and faith of its parent congregation outweighed the difficulties of the economy, and Westminster was born.
The 1950's saw growth for churches nationwide, and the church by the sea was no exception.  By now a full-service, year-round congregation, trancepts … (4 comments)

the debbie reed team: A REALTOR's Day Off--Championship Sunday - 01/24/11 08:29 AM
The Rehoboth Beach Convention Center was filled to the gills yesterday afternoon with football fans, and people like me--people who really don't give a fig about football, but wanted to support a good cause while eating pizza and popcorn.  It was the Annual Championship Sunday, sponsored by the Sunrise Rotary Club of Rehoboth Beach.  Big screen TV's, lots of food and beverages and a Silent Auction were all there to entertain the gathered fans.  And whether you were rooting for the Packers or the Bears, the Steelers or the Jets, all were there supporting a good cause.
I want to offer … (0 comments)

the debbie reed team: When Not Making Deals, I'm Making Quilts! - 01/11/11 06:55 AM
For my Quilting Friends, here are a couple of projects I've recently completed.  The Triple Irish Chain (left), is a baby quilt, made for the son (born yesterday) of another member of The Debbie Reed Team.  Although you can't see them, in each white diamond, a light green sailboat is hand quilted.  The Seminole Christmas quilt is a project I started in a class a few years ago, and completed for myself.  As a quilter, you know that making a project for onesself doesn't happen very often!
Happy New Year to all REALTORS/crafters/artists out there, and Happy Creating!
