Than selling? KCM has shared an article from Trulia which purportedly shows that owning is cheaper than renting. Naturally, I always think it is better and less expensive to own your home instead of renting it. I'm speaking in generalized overall terms.

The results of the latest Rent vs. Buy Report from Trulia show that Homeownership remains cheaper than renting with a traditional 30-year fixed rate mortgage in the 100 largest metro areas in the United States.

In my opinion is it always a good time to sell Real Estate BUT there are times when it is easier and better for the seller. Right now with low inventory and high demand, a seller considering placing their home on the market should do so without hesitation. There are more buyers than there are properties. In our town of Georgetown, MA we had 14 sales and 8 pending for the 1st quarter. Many of the properties were under agreement in a week or so and with prices over asking. The folks at KCM look at things on a national level and it seems low inventory and over asking sales prices are a common experience around the country.

I found a recent blog post, by Keeping Current Matters, interesting enough to share it with the Active Rain community. We all know the Real Estate buying and selling process can seem like a confusing maze to many. I urge consumers to always retain the services of a reputable Realtor®.
