short sale: MARS Has Disappeared - 08/06/11 05:59 AM
MARS has disappeared. Not the planet of course, but the Mortgage Assistance Relief Services disclosures.  The FTC announced on 7/15/11 that real estate brokers and agents will no longer have to use the MARS disclosures in short sale transactions.  It is still in effect however for brokers and agents assisting customers with loan modifications.  The added disclosures came and went like a bad dream. So long extra papers, we wont miss you.
