Having gone through the process personally several times, I know I always started by looking--looking at listings and (trying) to get a feel of the area I was moving to by perusing pictures and videos of local landmarks and points of interest.
While listings have become readily available, through MLS platforms like: Charlottesville MLS, finding pictures that went beyond the ordinary and mundane, was difficult. And trying to find ANY videos of the community was impossible.
