centerton ar real estate: Have you ever worked with a “flibbertigibbet” person? - 12/02/11 10:30 PM

Have you ever worked with a “flibbertigibbet” person?
It took some looking for this one.  Just stumbled on it and thought to myself why not write something to represent this type of personality.  I’ve had dealing with these types and I frankly don’t care to have one of them as a client.  You might at this time wonder what the meaning of (flib’er ti jib’it –te) is and I guess now is the time to tell you the meaning is an irresponsible, flighty person.  So now that you know the meaning have you had any dealings with these types you … (16 comments)

centerton ar real estate: In about 3-5 years I will “evanescence”. - 12/01/11 09:47 PM

In about 3-5 years I will “evanescence”.
Yep it’s about that time.  My age is catching up with me.  While the old body starts to fade the mind still thinks like a 30 year old.  This will not be my usual 200 word post but a shorter version.  So without any or hesitation the meaning of (-nes’ens) is a fading from sight; vanishing.  So in about 3-5 years I plan to retire the second time and fade from sight and memory.  But until then you’ll just have to put up with the old man.

centerton ar real estate: Ever had someone “dally” you? - 11/30/11 10:05 PM

Ever had someone “dally” you?
Sure you have.  In fact I would care to wager it happens more than you think.  Young old or somewhere in between you look forward to this I know I do.  I receive it from my wife and I pass it onto my children and my dog Jessie.  Sorry I almost forgot the meaning of (dal’e) to flirt; play at love.  Don’t you just love it (sorry for the pun) when someone flirts with you?  What say you?

centerton ar real estate: May you be the recipient of “benignity” this year…? - 11/29/11 10:01 PM

May you be the recipient of “benignity” this year…?
OK I truly hope this happens to you.  The question is are you going to return it or give it to someone else?  It’s your call so don’t ask me what I would do because I will either return this to the one who gave it to me or I will give it to someone else.  By the way the meaning of (-ne te) is a kind act kindliness.  So are you going to be kind to someone who was kind to you or pass it on?  Enjoy the rest of … (12 comments)

centerton ar real estate: Have you ever had an “aposiopesis” happen to you? - 11/28/11 10:38 PM

Have you ever had an “aposiopesis” happen to you?
Having been there done that I will be the first to admit it has happened to me.  Now the question has it happened to you? Isn’t Webster’s© just wonderful?  Another question I have for you did it happen in front of a client?  Hope that did not happen and so far (knock on wood) it hasn’t happened to me yet.  Now for the meaning of (ap’ o si’ o pe’sis) is a sudden breaking off of a thought in the middle of a sentence as if one were unable or unwilling … (9 comments)

centerton ar real estate: Morning all do you know someone who is “mendacious”? - 11/27/11 09:59 PM

Yep I sure do.  In fact I know more of these than I want to.  Although I may like them as a person I really don’t like to deal with them because of this.  What’s more disturbing is when they are a client with this problem.  So without further adieu the meaning of (men da’shen) is not truthful; lying or false.  So now I ask you again do you know someone who is mendacious.

centerton ar real estate: Do you know a “levanter”? - 11/26/11 10:46 PM

Do you know a “levanter”?
I bet ya you do on this word anyway.  I’ve known a few over my years on this earth and really don’t want to know anyone else with this affliction.  I call it an affliction because right now as I write this I cannot think of another word to use in its place.  Anyway I find now they are more abundant so without anymore waiting the meaning of (le van’ ter) is one who disappears, leaving unpaid debts.  So now I ask you again do you know or have known a levanter.

centerton ar real estate: Do you “keck” about news related to the housing industry? - 11/25/11 11:22 PM

Do you “keck” about news related to the housing industry?
Why is it if some official decides to make an off comment about something the next day its headlines?  Could the news industry be so consumed by events they grasp at anything they think will be a jump on the competition?  Anyway there would be volumes about the housing industry with the good news.  If you haven’t guessed it by now the meaning of (kek) is to feel or show great disgust.  When the headlines reads housing is down and I’m having one of my best years it makes me … (9 comments)

centerton ar real estate: Have you seen a “jetty” lately? - 11/24/11 10:43 PM

Have you seen a “jetty” lately?
Now, now let’s not go jumping to conclusions as you know words can have different meanings.  Therefore you see this daily even if you’re not around water.  Do I have your attention?  Most of you would assume the meaning of (jet’ e) would be a kind of wall built out into the water to restrain currents, protect a harbor or pier.  It also might mean a landing pier.  Now for the meaning I have chosen; an overhanging part of a building.  So now I ask you have you seen a jetty lately?  What say … (10 comments)

centerton ar real estate: Ever had a client “enervate” you? - 11/23/11 11:40 PM

Ever had a client “enervate” you?
Well Pilgrim I’m here to tell you they have tried.  Did you catch that “tried” statement?  Back when I was cop I was tried by the best and I must admit on a few occasions it did happen.  I’m a fast learner and after one or two tries no one else got through.  The meaning of (en’er vat’) is to weaken physically, mentally or morally.  For this post we’ll go with mentally.  Although I’m mentally challenged for this post that’s a good thing I think?  Forgot where I was going with this because I’ve … (11 comments)

centerton ar real estate: Is your business “crescive”? - 11/22/11 10:00 PM

Is your business “crescive”?
I know mine sure is.  I bet ya yours is to.  I started in 2008 and it was a tough first year.  The second one wasn’t much better but I hung in there and it started to turn.  If you haven’t figured out the meaning of (kres’iv) by now why don’t I just tell you?  Ok here you go it means growing; increasing.  I hope that next year your business will grow by at least 20% why 20?  I don’t know it just seemed like a good number.  Enjoy the year…

centerton ar real estate: Best police excuse… - 11/21/11 10:03 PM

Best police excuse…
I heard this from a pastor so I’ll take it to be true.  As the story goes an officer was working the late shift when he observed a vehicle approaching a stop light.  With his experience he knew the vehicle was not going to be able to stop.  Yep there it went right through the light.  When he stopped the vehicle a petite young lady was driving.  He immediately saw she was not intoxicated.  So he asked her for the drivers’ license, registration and insurance.  Then the important question actually two.  Young lady did you see that … (14 comments)

centerton ar real estate: Are you “fecund?” - 11/20/11 10:33 PM

Are you “fecund?”
Well tell me are you?  I hope I am and I bet ya you will too.  To be this in our business is something to crow about.  I may not be the youngest or strongest in the barnyard but my bark (crow) is still out there.  By the way the meaning of (fek’ end) is fruitful or fertile; productive; prolific.  For the upcoming year may your business be productive and fertile growing in 2012 by leaps and no bounds.  So tell me will you crow in 2012 or just cluck?  What say you?

centerton ar real estate: I’m a “litterateur” I bet you are to. - 11/19/11 11:12 PM

I’m a “litterateur” I bet you are to.
Yes I’m proud to say I’m one of these.  However, I bet ya you are one to.  How do I know this well for one thing I just know?  Can’t give away why just now but I do bring things to you every day that I hope you enjoy.  The meaning of (lit’er a tur’) is a literary man; man of letters.  We know letters and letters like in an alphabet are selected to form words and words form Wordsmith.  If you make a comment on a post or write a blog … (15 comments)

centerton ar real estate: I’ve met a “skellum” have you? - 11/18/11 09:44 PM

I’ve met a “skellum” have you?
Yes sir I’ll be the first to admit I have met one of these.  I tried to do the deed but I couldn’t get it done.  There is another meaning to this word and sometimes we are face to face with this person.  I’m curious on how you deal with this personality.  The meaning of (skel’em) is one deserving to die (my guy) second meaning a rascal; rouge; scamp.  So have you met a rascal or scamp?   What say you?

centerton ar real estate: Dog playing cards - 11/17/11 11:00 PM

Dog playing cards
As the story goes one of the bosses at work came out of his office and walked into the break room.  There in front of him were some employees’ playing cards and there was also a dog playing.  The boss thought to himself what a smart dog to be able to play cards.  The boss approached the employees and said, “That must be some smart dog to be able to play cards.”  One of the employees said, “That dog is not as smart as you would think to tell you the truth he’s kinda dumb.  Each time … (14 comments)

centerton ar real estate: Substitute Teacher - 11/16/11 10:32 PM

Substitute Teacher
As the story goes a substitute teacher was standing in the hallways near some lockers and had that bewilderment look on her face.  Another teacher having been there walked over and asked her “I know it’s your first day but believe me it will get better once you get the hang of it.”  To that the substitute said, “OH I’ve had a wonderful day the students have been so kind.  I know the rest of the day will even get better once I figure how to get the student out of this locker.”
Is that like you can’t … (9 comments)

centerton ar real estate: I think I’m “spiritual” what do you think? - 11/15/11 10:33 PM

I think I’m “spiritual” what do you think?
Yep I believe I have this problem.  I think it’s a nice one to have but my wife thinks I really don’t possess this talent.  Yes I think I’ll call it a talent.  Very few possess this fast and furious processing of data.  OH Well!! Without any more hesitation the meaning of (spe re tu el’) is a quick, graceful wit or mind.  I think I’m darn well a riot of wit and humor but the wife (boss) thinks otherwise.  So tell me do you think you’re funny?

centerton ar real estate: Have you experienced a “cark” recently? - 11/14/11 10:57 PM

Have you experienced a “cark” recently?
Man I sure have and I don’t like it.  Why you may ask and I’m so glad you did, thank you.  I did this when I first started not knowing the game plays of the real estate market I did what I could by asking other agents what they did to make them successful.  Did it work no not really?  As we near the end of the year and get ready for the new one I am looking at what I’m doing and thinking of changing my game play for next year.  Almost forgot … (10 comments)

centerton ar real estate: Do you have enough “nimiety?” - 11/13/11 09:33 PM

Do you have enough “nimiety?”
I received a comment on one of my posts yesterday.  The comment was left by a young lady that I do not recall of ever getting a comment from her.  So she stated I may have too many subscriptions to keep track of! LOL I wonder if there is a word for that?  Why yes Pamela there is and it is (ni-mahy-i-tee) the meaning of which is overkill, overload, overmuch, overrun oversupply overweight well you get the idea.  Anyway welcome Pamela to wordsmith and I hope this is a long relationship.  Now what say you???  … (11 comments)
