flower: Morning Glory surviving the summer heat - 07/31/19 08:53 PM
This Morning Glory got my attention
 
Because of the hot weather, I am behind on weeding the back garden.  I was just wondering what had happened to the  Morning Glory when I stumbled upon this striking color among some weeds.
This beautiful bloom certainly brightened my day and I have to admit, the weeds did make a nice frame.

It is the start of a new work week, and in many parts of the country it is still very cold and will be all week.

Just a few more weeks and spring should be here.  I can't help thinking about the colors.  I just sent out my newsletter and I couldn't help talking about curb appeal.
This winter much damage was done to the plants by the deer, it will take a lot of work and thought to get the yard back in to shape.

flower: Wordless Wednesday - A Caribbean Delight The Colorful Bougainvillea - 11/04/09 03:45 PM


The Bougainvillea is a beautiful plant that comes in a variety of colors; these can be found in California, Florida and the islands.  This flower loves sunshine and will do especially well near the ocean.
As winter approaches I am already missing the colorful outdoor plants.  I remember when I was growing up we had several colors of the Bougainvillea surrounding the house.
If you happen to have this wonderful plants, here are some tips on the care of the Bougainvillea.
