charlotte homes: What is your favorite treat shop Charlotte? - 10/25/10 08:18 AM
Last week I wrote a post about how my kids had found the best ice cream in Monroe, at Mac's Restaurant. This week, the kids got their report cards and as a reward they decided that they wanted dessert one night before dinner. They let me persuade them to try something we had never had.

During the last couple of months I had become friends with the owner of Kilwin'sin Charlotte so I talked the kids into giving it a try. Needless to say, all three if my kiddos now are huge fans of Kilwin's.

charlotte homes: Sometimes its easier to get into CVS than the Dr in Charlotte - 09/23/10 07:21 AM
This week I have had a sick husband and three sick kids. At first I thought it was just allergies but when the noses started making it hard to breath, eat and sleep I decided that it might be more than just allergies. I picked up the oldest from school on Tuesday after lunch and he went home and slept for 3 hours. Since he has not taken a nap since he was 5, I knew he might be sick. My hubby also stayed home from work on Wednesday with the hacky cough, runny nose, etc.
I called the Pediatrician and … (2 comments)

charlotte homes: A new view of Uptown Charlotte - 09/21/10 03:17 PM
I don't envy my husband's almost hour drive into his Uptown Charlotte office. I do however love the view that he has once he gets there. This morning I went Uptown to visit him and this was the view from his parking garage. I hear that the view from his office building is even better. It was awesome and I will gladly be taking many more trips to Uptown Charlotte just to see the view, er I mean him.

charlotte homes: Do our daily necessities differ that much? - 09/17/10 12:59 PM
I had a lender, Johnatan Romero send me a cute email yesterday with a list of 4 things every person needs. It got me thinking about the most important things that I really need everyday.  Can I really make that list consist of only 4 things...
His were:
4 very useful items you need each day........
1)   Toothbrush
2)   Deodorant
3)   Cell Phone
4)   A Lender that provides you with important and timely lending information to save you time and energy

Mine would be:
1. My hubby and kiddos
2. Cell Phone
3. My Ipad (it has the Bible downloaded on it)

charlotte homes: Kids, this is why you are out of school today. - 09/06/10 03:48 AM
Do you know the full meaning behind the National Holiday? The family and I were sitting at the lunch table yesterday and the 11 and 5 year olds were discussing being out of school Monday. The oldest asked his Dad and I why they were out of school and what was Labor Day really all about.
Labor Day is observed on the first Monday in September. The first Labor Day was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City.  It finally became a federal holiday in 1894. President Cleveland pushed the Labor Day holiday quickly through Congress following the deaths of many workers during … (3 comments)

charlotte homes: Not to worry, I will bring the house to you. - 09/03/10 05:08 PM
Our team has been working with a buyer who lives over 1,000 miles away for several months. This week we found out that he is coming in a couple of weeks.   My buyer has only chosen one home to look at when he gets to Charlotte. I made an appointment to preview the house when I found out from the agent that there was already an interested buyer in the home.   I knew that I needed to be proactive and do what I can for him not to lose this house.
I called the agent and made an appointment to get a guided … (1 comments)

charlotte homes: Just because my buyer got sick, didn't mean I got to go back to bed. - 09/01/10 04:45 PM
I woke up this morning ready to go show potential homes to a buyer that had been on a MLS search for several months. Before I even got out of bed at 6:30 am, she called to tell me that she was really sick and would have to reschedule.

Not planning on being awake for another hour I was not in my sorts yet. I simply thanked her for letting me know and to call me when she was feeling better. I then got up, took the 6 year old to school and got the oldest on the bus. I … (8 comments)

charlotte homes: Do you use Evernote? - 08/31/10 03:00 PM
I was surprised and blessed a couple of weeks back with an Ipad from my incredible husband. As a Mother of 3 and full time agent, I spend most of my time on the road. I had a laptop but the card we used doesn't work really well in the rural areas where I spend most of my time. The Ipad has become my second best friend. The only thing I wish was that I knew how to use it to the best of its ability.
Evernote as seen on my iPad I have stumbled on several bogs and emails from … (7 comments)

charlotte homes: Are you staring at empty rooms in your new home? - 08/23/10 08:42 AM

Have you moved into the home of your dreams only to be face to face with some seriously bare rooms? If that is your dilemma, then take a day trip to Ikea. Yesterday, the oldest and I were running some errands and found ourselves on the North side of Charlotte. Instead of running into Wal-Mart to grab some light bulbs, batteries and lunch we decided to make it a fun blog worthy trip into the Home superstore.

The parking lot was over half full during lunchtime on a Thursday which was quite remarkable in itself. I usually only … (6 comments)
