addison restaurants: Welcome to Addison! Sigree Indian Restaurant - 12/23/18 09:26 AM
They're still in their soft opening, but you should check out Addison's newest Indian restaurant, Sigree, at 4145 Beltline Road, #218, Addison Texas!
Located just west of Midway Road, you'll find them in the strip center with the UPS Store and The Hub, at the eastern-most end of the row. For those familiar with the area, Sigree is in the old Indian Haat location.
A friend and I were there for dinner one night last week. The service was exemplary (thanks to the manager, Bryan) and the food was delicious! They're still waiting on their liquor license so we couldn't purchase adult beverages, but … (0 comments)

addison restaurants: Sweet Frog Even Sweeter in Addison - 02/13/15 11:40 PM
Almost a year ago, I wrote about a new Addison frozen yogurt shop, Sweet Frog.
When it first opened, I rejoiced! Finally - a local froyo establishment, and one with the syrupy walnut topping I like, too. Those "wet walnuts" (as we called them back in the New Jersey of my youth) are hard to find.
After only a few months, the wet walnuts disappeared from the toppings bar. The staff told me they had changed distributors and the new distributor didn't carry them.
I still went to Sweet Frog, but not quite as often.
Now, the story has a happy … (2 comments)

addison restaurants: Get Social at The Social House in Addison, Texas - 09/23/11 01:44 AM
Get Social at The Social House in Addison, Texas.
Billing itself as a "supper pub" the Social House has relocated from the Uptown area of Dallas to Village on the Parkway in Addison.  The 75 item menu features contemporary American cuisine plus 50 types of beer on tap and a 50 bottle wine list.
Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 to 6:30 pm at the Social House. I got there just in time earlier this week to take advantage of the reduced prices and enjoyed a libation out on the patio.  The food was great and the service exceptional.

addison restaurants: Taste Addison Pays off for Addison Restaurants - 05/31/10 02:04 PM
I try to never miss attending the annual Taste Addison festival.  This year, I went the last day of the event, Sunday, May 23rd.  There is always delicious food to sample, arts & crafts treasures for sale, and great people-watching.  It's the place to learn about new restaurants in the Town of Addison and to find out if you like the food they serve.
My 2 favorite take-aways from this year's Taste Addison are The Italian Club of Dallas and Ziziki's.
Who knew the Italian Club has weekly Friday night "Cena" dinners and weekly Wednesday pasta nights?  I didn't, but I … (4 comments)

addison restaurants: Masaryk: New Addison Restaurant - 06/14/09 03:42 AM
OK, OK, I admit it!  I'm a Yankee.  And not a big fan of Mexican food.  But.........
I've lived in North Texas for 30 years and every once in a while I get dragged to a Mexican restaurant by friends.  Last night was one of those occasions.  And I loved it!
Masaryk is a "Modern Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Lounge" at 5004 East Addison Circle, Addison Texas 75001.  The food was fabulous!  (Except the salsa dip for chips, which was a little too hot for my naive taste buds.)  I had the Salmon Masaryk, a pan seared dish smothered with hearts of palm … (4 comments)

Ah, Addison! Not a city, but a "town." The Town of Addison. The best place to live and work in North Texas. There's something to be said about a place that doesn't take itself too seriously. Note the exclamation point in the town's name. Here you'll find the ruminations, rants and raves of one of the town's realtors and residents.
