Addison Pacesetters (the 50+ group) meet the first Wednesday of each month at Dunn Bros. Coffeehouse on Beltline Road and learn about the Town of Addison. This month, Barbara Ball, the Information Coordinator at Metrocrest Senior Adult Services, spoke to us. Here are some interesting tidbits from her presentation.
The Metrocrest Senior Adult Services provides services to seniors, ages 60+ in Addison, Coppell, Farmers Branch and Carrollton. There are 3 case managers, plus volunteers. New School to be Built in Addison, Texas: Public Meeting Announced.
The second opportunity for citizens to learn more about the Dallas Independent School District's (DISD) George H. W. Bush Elementary School will be January 21, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Construction is about to begin(first quarter of 2010). The site for the new school is on the southeast corner of DISD's Loos Field property on Spring Valley Road in Addison.

If you live in Addison, Texas, you should have already received your official Town of Addison calendar for 2010. Each year, town employees and council members deliver the calendars to every home in Addison. Each year there is a new theme. Last year's I am Addison (complete with bumper stickers) has been replaced with We're Glad You're Here. (Sorry, no bumper stickers this year.)

No, Condo Flats is not the name of the latest rock band! Savannah Developers is building Meridian Square in Addison Texas, with townhouses and condos in the same development. These will be located on 4 acres at the south east corner of Quorum Drive and Airport Parkway, just north of Addison Circle.
The townhomes (2 and 3 stories) will be built first, then the condominiums. The first of the townhomes should be available in about 6 months.
