As you might know by now, Richie Alan Naggar is sponsoring the, "Boast-a-Post Active Rain Challenge" this month which is a joy in which to participate.
I've long enjoyed and benefited from the posts Grant Schneider writes. His generosity in sharing is unmatched, and his full participation in Active Rain is a pleasure.
As a professional business coach, it's not surprising that he has pearls of wisdom to share. I've learned to think about my choice of words, what might be holding me back from making a change, and how to be a better manager.

Weltanschauung: the guiding principles and philosophy of an organization; a world view.
Active Rain's Weltanschauung is summed up in 10 concise statements, one of which is:
"ActiveRain believes that it is in the best interests of real estate professionals to build a community that is focused on educating one another."
As I re-read these guiding principles today, that is the one that jumped out to me. The education I have received here on Active Rain in the last 5 years is huge. Here's some of what I've learned:

When I first joined Active Rain in 2008, I had no idea how much I would learn from members. What a wonderful surprise that was. I've learned many of the differences in the way real estate is practiced in various states, and in Canada. I've learned a TON about technology (in fact, Active Rain is my go-to place with tech questions) and about marketing. I've learned about the towns and cities, what makes them unique and draws people to the areas.
But sometimes the brain needs to focus on lighter fare, and that is what I needed this weekend.
