Our abundant open space preserves and park lands are a huge attraction to living on the San Francisco Peninsula. It's not hard to realize how happy hundreds, if not thousands, of residents were when parks were opened again last week, on May 4, -- with precautions.
One of the wisest choices park administrators made was to designate some of the narrow hiking trails, where keeping 6' distance isn't feasible, as one-way.

As any local hiker, mountain biker, or lover of nature knows, Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, just a few miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, is a beacon and destination in any type of weather.
Home to the world-famous Muir Woods, much of the mountain is deeply forested, with Coastal redwood trees soaring overhead creating deep shade where ferns thrive on the banks and streams burble down the ravines.

trails: Where do you find your stress relief? - 04/15/18 05:22 PM
April 15 -- tax day! Even though this year income tax returns don't need to be postmarked today, just hearing the word, "April 15" can make the blood pressure rise. Add to that the extremely fast-moving real estate markets we're experiencing in many parts of the county, and stress can quickly reach stratospheric levels.
