Purchasing a luxury property in Salt Lake City, however, is … (4 comments)

Many economists are saying this is the year real estate will finally turn around: Sales will be increasing, prices will be stabilizing and conditions will be generally improving.  Unfortunately, foreclosures and other distressed properties will still make up a larger-than-desired portion of our market.  The government has made some important changes to the Treasury version of HAFA (Homeowners Affordable Foreclosure Program), effective on February 1, they hope to reduce this distressed property inventory and speed up the recovery of our market.  This program was designed to help homeowners who owe more money on their homes than they are worth.  Rather than … (0 comments)

What is it about Draper Real Estate? I have noticed a trend in the last two years with my buyer's and leed generating programs.  I receive a much higher percentage of in State Buyer's or Locals who are looking at homes for sale in Draper, Ut.  My Relocation leeds and clients from out of State  are much more apt on the initial consultation to inquire about Holladay Homes or Real Estate in Sandy. sandy: The importance of home staging in a slow market. - 01/14/11 08:40 AM
Professional staging will sell your home quicker and for more money
In a slower market, it is necessary to go above and beyond to make your home sell-able. It is imperative to have a clean, inviting and exciting home for buyers to view. Not only do the buyers need to want your home, they need to want it more than all the other homes around you.
A thorough cleaning is the first step in getting your house ready for viewing. You need to perform a deep clean of every room in the house. While doing this, start moving stuff out. Your … (0 comments)

sandy: Salt Lake County Mortgage Rates are hovering under 5% - 01/13/11 07:56 AM
Mortgage rates in Salt Lake County are still at all-time lows.  With 30 year rates hovering just below 5%, many first time home buyers and investors are considering coming out of the closet.
Should the home buyer take action now, or should they wait for further lowering of Mortgage rates?  My belief is that rates are only going up.  Now is the time to take action!
With an abundance of short sale and bank owned properties on the market, the combination of lower rates and lower prices on existing homes for sale, there could not be a better time to buy.
