facebook: Missing The Video Mark: A Post That Is A Response To A Comment - 09/19/08 11:22 PM
I've made a blog post out of a response to a comment on another post:
The Comment
Here's where most people in the industry miss the mark when it comes to video compared to virtual tours:
The REAL power in video is the portability.  It is not about "putting all your eggs in one basket".  Just because it's on YouTube doesn't mean anyone will see it there.  People don't shop YouTube for Real Estate.  Learn how to place it around through links and more importantly . . . emdbedding. 47% of people are more likely to puch a play butting than … (14 comments)

facebook: Is It Just Me Or Are REALTORS Using Facebook Less Often? - 10/21/07 10:53 PM

So, either I'm in the wrong real estate groups and not getting invites to the right groups or real estate professionals simply aren't using it so much anymore.  Is this another tangible sign of "social networking fatigue" or a case of the "Scoble effect" on A list real estate … (11 comments)

It's a first step in our consumer beta to making property tours mobile via social networking from wherever the videos may be to wherever buyers or other interested parties can view them.  What you will see at http://property-tour.com/ is a proof of concept that effective distribution of property videos and other types of tours should not require extensive cutting and pasting to a number of sites. It should just happen as part of the … (2 comments)

facebook: Two New Real Estate Video Facebook Applications Now Available - 07/15/07 05:04 AM
http://vidlisting.com/ is proud to introduce two new real estate video facebook applications in English and Spanish.  Portuguese is forthcoming...
It's a very simple beta implementation right now - we'll add features and properties throughout this week...but you'll get the general idea once you see it.   The English language application is named "realestatevideo" (http://facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2528212274 ) and  the spanish language application can be found with the name, "bienesraices" (http://facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2413756047 ).  For the moment, it only includes properties for the Panama Real Estate Association.
This is just a proof of concept and the beginning of a true "flip the switch" distribution method.  All of the properties that … (2 comments)
