Lake Charles Louisiana Celebrates the Holidays
The City of Lake Charles is officially lighted and ready to celebrate the holidays! 
Tonight the Lake Charles Boat Parade kicked off the festivities along the lake and the new Promenade Boardwalk.  Families gathered along the seawall to catch beads and candy and watch the fireworks show.
I was privileged to be invited aboard the Fleigship V to experience this event with friends and throw some of my Century 21 beads to the crowd gathered. 
Boaters who gather for these types of events are really enjoying the new Lake Charles, Louisiana Bord du Lac Marina

New Lakefront Marina in Lake Charles, Louisiana
 
On any given day during the Spring-Summer you will see boats out on the lakefront in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  As the boat traffic increases the need for dock space increases.
Scheduled to officially open in August 2010, Lake Charles will have a new floating marina and docking facility near the Lake Charles Civic Center Seawall.
This new marina is part of the City of Lake Charles Bord du Lac Lakefront Promenade Project  with lots more to come with lakefront improvements.

We have a Premier Park in Lake Charles, for our enjoyment, Prien Lake Park! This is the best time of year in Southwest Louisiana.  I decided to take advantage of the Spring temperatures and head out today to feature of one of the favorite outdoor places in Lake Charles, Prien Lake Park. Prien Lake Park offers recreation and relaxation for all ages.  This jewel of a park is managed and maintained by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.
