Next Saturday, July 18th, 2015, St. Tammany's Bogue Falaya Park in Covington will host a race like no other. At the stroke of noon, the St. Tammany Duck Derby will begin as 5000 Rubber Derby Ducks will be released into the Bogue Falaya River and begin racing towards the finish line. Adopt a single duck or a whole flock for a donation of as little as $5 to the St. Tammany Humane Society. If your duck wins the race, you win $1000, even if you are not present.
