Model Homes vs Staged Models... What's the Difference? I'm often asked what the difference between a model home and a staged model in new construction projects. For me, the answer usually comes down to two parts 1) Pricing (cost) 2) Demographics. For years interior designers have been the source for model homes. Recently that trend has shifted and more frequently professional stagers are being called in. Both of the above reasons intertwine and account for the shift. "I'm buying new construction in St Augustine. I don't need a Realtor." According to yesterday's morning office meeting, this is a common misconception from local buyers. According to the consenus, buyers believe that they will receive a better deal on new construction in St Augustine if they don't hire a professional to represent them. It sounds like buyers need to understand the job of a Realtor more thoroughly. Buyers will not receive a better deal by purchasing a new construction home on their own.
