Today, there are fifty five homes on the market available for purchase in the award winning Tredyffrin Easttown School district, rated as having the 3rd best high school, Conestoga in the state, that are priced over $1,000,000. These are all luxury homes, with the majority of the highest priced homes being in Easttown.

As of December 19th 2011 according to Trend MLS the following homes were available for sale in Easttown Township PA. Easttown Township covers Devon and Berwyn post codes and is part of the Tredyffrin Easttown School district.
There are 58 homes available to buy, the lowest priced home is a four bed one bath twin priced at $199,900 in Berwyn, The highest priced home is a lot in Devon with new construction of a six bed six full baths and two powder rooms at $6,395,000. I wrote a couple of weeks ago about how the old Berwyn School which became the T/E School Administration building has been demolished. Was at Easttown Library today and noticed that the fences have been taken down and made me realize that the properties on First Avenue opposite the old building, just got a big boost in value.
Instead of a darkand dirty building, they now have this great view of the playing fields and when all that grass eventually comes in and greens up a bit it will be a fabulous view of Open Space.

Tredyffrin Easttown school district consists of Tredyffrin Township and Easttown Township along the Main Line, Berwyn, Devon, Strafford and Wayne are all part of the two townships. T/E school district is an award winning school system and like many others right now is struggling with budget issues due to pension plan requirements.
The housing market has been strong over the years, with little new construction other than in-fill housing or teardowns, especially in Easttown. Ranging in price from $187,500 to $1,195,000 26 new listings hit the market in T/E school district in the last week. Four apartments, 7 town homes and 15 single family homes were listed. More homes were listed in Tredyffrin township than Easttown.
Apartments ranged in price from $187,500 for a 2 bed 2 bath apartment in Chesterbrook to $419,900 for a 3 bed 2 1/2 bath apartment in Arbordeau a gated community in Devon.

Berwyn gains ground through the Tredyffrin Easttown School District demolishing their old office building, which used to be Berwyn School.
As you can see not much left of that old administrative building, just a couple of urns on pedestals and some old columns, hope they are going to recyle those,. Makes you wonder why they did not link up with a developer, hold on to the land and turn the building into apartments to rent along the Main Line. In the second half of 2010 52 single family homes sold in Easttown achieving a sales price on average of 93% of asking price, a little lower than Tredyffrin where prices have been achieving 96% of asking price.
