I totally understand, many of our clients feel this way when they first come to us looking to buy a home on Philadelphia's Main Line for a variety of reasons.
They are relocating from a city where prices frankly are not as high on the Main Line. When we first talk about wants and needs and they tell us their price range we have to educate them that this is a different ballpark, and prices here are not at AAA price points but at major league prices. 2014 saw twenty two sales of homes in Old Forge Crossing and condominium development in Devon, PA, Tredyffrin Township. These range from 1 bedroom apartments to 2 bedroom town homes. Some of the second floor apartments have a den over the stairway which adds some square footage. Real estate is this funny business where customers want to hire you but before they do they want you to reduce how much your are going to be paid. I don't know how many of my clients' bosses ask them to reduce their take home pay before take on a job. I understand no one likes to pay more than they have to pay. What have you been doing in your spare time?
Trudy decided we needed some extra space behind our sun room. We have a dry stone wall there. So on Labor Day we took the wall down and began digging out the dirt. Well, I say dirt, but it was more like stone. I believe the correct term is "Schist" a mixture of stone/rock and dirt made up mainly of the rock and stone element.

I was reading an article over the weekend how tech companies are trying to set up systems to remove the real estate agent from the transaction and lower costs for the seller. Of course the savings when you delve deeper are more limited.

I have clients who purchased a home for their son. They wanted to help him live alone, he has some severe social issues, but they felt if the house was nearby he would be able to cope.
