My real estate board, Houston Association of REALTORS has what I believe to be one of the best MLS sites in the country. Now I may be the slightest bit biased but from what I hear from our clients and other agents who visit our site, many agree with this statement.
When they added the blog roll I immediately signed up and import my AR blogs right into it. The other day I clicked on the Blog Directory and found that my blog was the #4 Most Viewed Blogs on their site! Wow! I had no idea!
As we crunch our numbers and statistics in real estate, knowing how many months of available inventory is a good barometer of what is going on in our market. As we see this number fluctuate, we can make better predictions of our local real estate markets. Months of Inventory calculates the number of homes currently on the market with the currently sold homes and gives us a number of months it would take to sell those homes that are currently on the market. The Woodlands as well as the entire Houston area are on fire right now in the housing market. The numbers are in and May was truly a record breaking month. Sales are booming and the available inventory is shrinking before our eyes. All indicators support this increase as sustainable as the local economy continues to be strong and our employments rates remain high. HOUSTON HOUSING MARKET REPORT! Some good news in our market via Houston Association of REALTORS®. The July 2010 numbers are in and all is not bad news. Here are the positives: Single family total active listings increased by 18.6% Single family average sales price increased by 2.7% Month's inventory improved by 19% Although July overall sales decreased a bit, this comes after four consecutive months of positive sales numbers. HAR MARCH 2010 NUMBERS ARE OUT! Good news for those of us in the Houston area. The Houston Association of REALTORS just published the market numbers for March and things are looking up. I attended the Commercial Real Estate Association of Montgomery County today and our guest speaker was our Woodlands Township Director, Nelda Blair. She spoke generally about The Woodlands Township and how this governing body works as this is relatively new to The Woodlands.
