loan modification: Style - Is It Time To Let It Go? - 03/17/11 09:29 AM

Imagine if you were stuck in time fashion wise and you were still wearing all of your high school cloths.  If you are attending High School this is fine, but if you are not, we have an issue to discuss.  The good news is that we can spot you and your high cuts a mile away and so can you.  All you need to do is look in the mirror and ask, "I wonder why I can't find a good perm?"

Seriously, we look back at the trends and wonder, "what the heck was I smoking???" … (32 comments)

loan modification: Feeding Donuts To A Cash Cow - 03/10/11 04:09 AM

Recessions happen.  2011 is more than that.  America is faced not only with millions feeling anything from a pinch to a punch, but a subsequent cultural shift.
How many times have you heard, "Oh, we used to ______(insert fun here)_________, but with the economy the way it is_____(insert feeling of loss and sadness)__________.

There are three things going on here, right?
Things have happened in your life financially and you haven't dealt with them.  You are experiencing the results of this in your attitude and emotions. Your situation plus your attitude is creating fear and lack.  … (1 comments)

loan modification: Bank Of America Leads the Pack on Modifications - 04/19/10 04:33 AM
In the midst of negative criticism, the HAMP (Home Affordable Modification Program) approved 230,801 permanent Loan Modifications to date saving on average $500 per month per Home Owner.  Although market observers still note that this pace is too slow to make a significant difference, most Americans feeling the pinch wouldn't sneeze at $500 less out of their pocket at the end of the month.
Leading the pack of servicers on it are is GMAC, converting 48% or 17,102 of their trial modifications to permanent.  Next is CitiMortgage with 47% or 22,455.  But when you look at sheer numbers Bank Of America … (1 comments)

loan modification: INCENTIVES FOR UNDERWATER HOMEOWNERS EFFECTIVE 4/5/2010! - 04/08/10 05:31 AM
A short sale or deed-in-lieu is a better option for homeowners, banks and neighbors than the expensive foreclosure process that leaves properties vacant and communities deteriorating.   HAFA, which is part of the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), will help homeowners who did not qualify for a loan modification under HAMP by providing incentives for foreclosure alternatives.  The HAFA program also uses standard processes, documents, and timeframes which allows for a smoother short sale transaction. Participating servicers were required to implement the new HAFA guidelines by April 5, 2010.
Once a borrower has been denied a HAMP modification, the servicer must consider … (0 comments)

They don't care about the effect that the economy has had.  They feel as though we have all been affected by the economy-so what? They don't care about struggles, hard times, etc.  They want to see facts.  E.g.  I was laid off and … (0 comments)

loan modification: Is Now The Time To Ask For A Mortgage Modification? - 03/01/10 01:43 PM
President Obama's plan is to help millions of Americans by encouraging banks to look into modifying terms of existing mortgages so that good intentioned people who are feeling a financial pinch can remain in their homes and continue paying a lower more affordable payment.
This is logical and seems to be the best solution for everyone.  The bank continues to have a mortgage that they are collecting interest on.  Even if it is less interest than originally agreed upon it is still better than no interest and another home on their books.  The home owner is happy because, those who request … (1 comments)

loan modification: Realtors: What will 2010 bring to you? - 11/27/09 07:27 AM

Black Friday has been branded as the day to stand in line to get save a couple bucks.  Personally, there is nothing I'd be less interested in doing today armed with Thanksgiving abundance.  Rooted in gratitude, today is the best day to really look closely at where we are in all areas of our lives and ask ourselves, "where do I want to go from here?"
Just like the traditions we have on Thanksgiving my Black Friday tradition is to find a quiet inspiring place to plan and I know a lot of my friends are doing the same … (1 comments)

loan modification: Is there HOPE in a Loan Modification? - 04/21/09 06:01 AM
Our new administration is attempting to encourage lending institutions to work with home owners in financial distress and millions are lining up.  There are thousands of Loan Modification companies, many scams, many with good intentions, offering to help in return for a fee.
A recent report mentioned by The Huffington Post noted that, among loan modifications made in the October-December quarter, about 37 percent resulted in a drop in payments of more than 10 percent, compared with about one-fourth in the first nine months of the year.
As a Real Estate Professional, we speak to these people regularly.  What is our … (0 comments)
