Friendship and Family - Community Amongst Realtors® and Punks.
Punk was not a mainstream movement.  Disregarding the commercial system of the music industry, punk had to find it's own way to build both fans and a distribution network for their music.  In order to sustain their own survival, punks had to build friendship and family amongst themselves, their fans, and the various related industries (record stores, promoters and venues, college radio, etc.).
With real estate, we are constantly building community; whether amongst our peers and the related industries or our clients … (6 comments)

new agent: RE/MAX Access is pleased to welcome Rebecca Hall! (@rebeccahallhome) - 10/22/10 09:12 AM

She's putting me to shame already.
Rebecca joins RE/MAX Access and the first thing I notice?  How clean and neat her part of our office is.  Me?  I've got papers stacked up on the desk in a million piles - each one meaning something subtley different.  Her?  Organized in the classic sense.
Maybe this will force me to finally move my desk around and make the office look better.
Welcome to RE/MAX Access Rebecca!

A post in reply to a post in reply to a post in reply to a post.
Every so often on ActiveRain, a single post becomes larger than life and spawns new posts that feed off of each other.  I love the idea of these posts taking on new life and expanding the topic deeper and wider each time.  This post is no exception.
It all started when...

I was newly licensed and very eager to get started.
Some agents had told me open houses were a great resource for someone like me - not many friends in town, no family, no real ties to the community.  No sphere of influence in other words.  I started seeking them out, but as luck would have it, someone in my office always beat me to the punch when an email would go out asking for an agent to hold an open house.  I was a bit bummed, but still determined.  I kept my eyes on … (24 comments)

new agent: New Group - Team RERockstar - 01/05/09 12:44 PM

New members means new ideas.
I never thought when I first signed up that I'd get to the point where I was creating a group.  How wrong I was.  Here I am today, announcing the formation of Team RERockstar.  Now of course, I can hear some people saying, "Ugh, what an ego-maniac, he named the group after himself."  Well, you're right, I did, but let me explain.  When Brad Andersohn set out the plans for The ActiveRain 2009 New Year Challenge, I was inspired to push some people to join that I had not thought of inviting before.  I … (24 comments)

new agent: The Stigliano Chronicles over at AgentGenius. - 12/03/08 01:39 PM
Its seems I've become obsessed by writing.
I write here, I write at AgentGenius, and I write in my sleep now.  As I've stated before, I love doing it.  It keeps me busy that's for sure.  I guess the reason I decided to write this post is that over the past few weeks, I've met a lot of new people here at ActiveRain and some of them don't know much more of me than what they read here.  I actually started my blogging "career" over at AgentGenius, when Benn and Lani asked me to write a series, title "The Stigliano Chronicles."  … (0 comments)
