Texas seems to have trouble with that team from Southern California. Ironically, it isn't the USC Trojans, one of the best college football teams of all time. But the school known for a record eleven national championships- in basketball.
After getting blow out by the Bruins twice in the 90's, the rebuilding Longhorns of last year, saw their season slide began; with a humiliating loss to UCLA at home last year. This Saturday, the Longhorns head out to Socal, to try to right last years wrong.

Much has happened since the back to back blowout wins UCLA posted over The University of Texas in 1997 and 1998 respectively. In 1997 UCLA humiliated Texas in Austin with a 66-3 blowout victory.  That game contributed to a coaching change at Texas. In 1998, under first year coach Mack Brown, Texas traveled to Los Angeles and suffered a 49-31 loss at The Rose Bowl.
In the years since, UCLA has been through three coaching changes, and their crosstown rival USC became the premeire program in the country. Meanwhile, Texas went on to become a national power, winning the BCS title in that very same … (9 comments)

university of texas: Texas to host Super Regional June 11-13 2010 - 06/08/10 05:42 PM
For the second year in a row, The University of Texas baseball team will host Texas Christian University June 11-13th. The game on Sunday the 13th being played only if neccassary. The winner will punch their ticket to the college baseball world series. Texas is the second overall seed in the tournament, and predicted to make a run for the title.
It will be a buys weekend up and down the I-35 corridor with the baseball series, and the Republic of Texas Bike Rally this weekend.
