cary: Craigs List Scam

After posting a new listing on Craigs List yesterday, I received two phone calls today!
However, the two callers were asking about renting the property. This was confusing to me because the listing is for sale, not rent. After talking with the first caller more, I found out someone had stolen the information about the listing and placed an ad on Craigs List stating it was for rent.
These two callers happen to do more searching to find my information, which is the only way I would have known. Apparently, both callers had already contacted the "owner" who was a male (the owner … (6 comments)

As a grandmother who tries to find the time to spend with my two beautiful granfkids, it can be tough. Even if I find the time, finding something to do is not always easy. My daughter has the privilage of being a stay at home mom and has lived in the Triangle for 15 years, yet still has a hard time finding something to do with the kids all the time. cary: Thanksgiving Menu - What to Cook

With Thanksgiving coming, I know you have enough on your mind with company, cleaning, and decorating and then of course the menu!
Personally, I rely on my favorites: Honey baked ham, sweet potatoes, rolls, turnip greens, and of course pumpkin pie only served with the best, real hand-whipped cream mixed a dash of vanilla and sprinkled with sugar. I can hardly wait until Thursday.
This year, I am thinking about mixing it up a bit!

I get many calls throughout the year asking if "Now is a good time of year to sell?" Most home inventory is found in spring to summer months for our area. Well "NOW" is a good time to sell with only 2.5 months of inventory you have a greater chance than any other time of year. You may think it's not a wise investment but painting the exterior of your home can really make the difference between something as simple as getting your house showings when customers are house-hunting. How did your market do in August?
In my part of the country, Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill NC or the Triangle as we are also known, our market is picking up! For Wake-Durham-Orange and Johnston Countiesclosings are up 26% over 2011 – Pendings up 22% and best news of all would be, our housing supply is at 5 months over 7 months in 2011.

Sales in our area has been better than 2011, I just watched a market update with Stacey Anfindsen & Rachel Wiest with our Triangle MLS, several facts to note:
Our sales in 2012 over 2011 are up 24%
Pendings are up 22%
Jobs are being created in the Triangle, unemployment is down from 8.2% to 7.9% this quarter
Affordability is the best in 25 years
Ghost or Distressed listings account for 9% of MLS Listings in 2012 compared to 2011...up 1% yes, but better than many other markets.
