cary: Craigs List Scam - 06/16/15 03:16 PM
After posting a new listing on Craigs List yesterday, I received two phone calls today!

However, the two callers were asking about renting the property. This was confusing to me because the listing is for sale, not rent. After talking with the first caller more, I found out someone had stolen the information about the listing and placed an ad on Craigs List stating it was for rent.

These two callers happen to do more searching to find my information, which is the only way I would have known. Apparently, both callers had already contacted the "owner" who was a male (the owner … (6 comments)

cary: Great Summer Activities in the Triangle - 06/08/15 11:55 AM
As a grandmother who tries to find the time to spend with my two beautiful granfkids, it can be tough. Even if I find the time, finding something to do is not always easy. My daughter has the privilage of being a stay at home mom and has lived in the Triangle for 15 years, yet still has a hard time finding something to do with the kids all the time. This is a great article from WRAL that gives some really good ideas for those looking to fill the time with the kids this summer. It's also a great list … (1 comments)

cary: Thanksgiving Menu - What to Cook - 11/25/14 09:26 AM
With Thanksgiving coming, I know you have enough on your mind with company, cleaning, and decorating and then of course the menu!
Personally, I rely on my favorites: Honey baked ham, sweet potatoes, rolls, turnip greens,  and of course pumpkin pie only served with the best, real hand-whipped cream mixed a dash of vanilla and sprinkled with sugar.  I can hardly wait until Thursday.
This year, I am thinking about mixing it up a bit!

A little food for thought!  Bon appetite.
While planning, preparing and eating your Thanksgiving feasts remember to give thanks for all that … (0 comments)

cary: Cary NC Home Inventory 2.5 Months ~ Thinking of Selling? - 12/17/13 10:48 PM
I get many calls throughout the year asking if "Now is a good time of year to sell?" Most home inventory is found in spring to summer months for our area.  Well "NOW" is a good time to sell with only 2.5 months of inventory you have a greater chance than any other time of year. With less competition you should have a quick offer if your home is clean, well maintained and staged ~ remember less is more, time to de-clutter when listing your home. If you are serious about selling you have to pack anyway, so start packing and let's get ready to find your … (1 comments)

cary: Spreading a little holiday cheer - 12/18/12 09:40 PM

It's a very busy time of year for all of us.
Finding it hard to squeeze in a blog post, let alone read blogs, buy gifts, attend parties, and just find a shred of 'me' time.
It's pure insanity. But come Christmas Eve, I know, it will all have been worth it.
I do want to take a moment of your time to thank you for all your support and kindness in 2012!
It has been a wonderful year here at Kowitz Realty, I have been blessed beyond reason with good people who came to me as clients, now I … (1 comments)

cary: All I want for Christmas is a New Home! - 12/12/12 10:54 PM
No wonder homes are flying off the market in the Triangle! We have one of the healthiest job markets in the nation and continuous national recognition for quality of life and family living. People are flocking to the Triangle at astounding numbers.
All are welcome!   With all this attention our Raleigh, Durham, Cary and Chapel Hill areas of the Triangle have been receiving, I wanted to share just some of the fabulous reasons to buy now.   • Historically low-interest rates. Really! How much lower can you go?   • New home builders are scrambling to keep up with demand. … (2 comments)

cary: Before and After - Is it worth painting the exterior of your home? - 11/29/12 03:46 AM

Good day to all!
Small updates to your home can go a long way in helping sell when the time comes. You may think it's not a wise investment but painting the exterior of your home can really make the difference between something as simple as getting your house showings when customers are house-hunting. Curb appeal is huge in any given market where there are hundreds of homes for buyers to look at for sale. I have personally shown over 575 homes in 2012 to buyers!  My average buyer looked at 20-35 homes before buying the perfect home….first impressions … (0 comments)

For Wake-Durham-Orange and Johnston Countiesclosings are up 26% over 2011 – Pendings up 22% and best news of all would be, our housing supply is at 5 months over 7 months in 2011.
We would love to claim a sellers’ market, although we are not quite there yet. Homes located in some of our best locations have seen multiply offers; I was … (0 comments)
