allegheny county: Your Morning Routine Dictates Your Success/Failures - 08/15/11 11:17 PM
How are you starting your mornings?  Do you wake up to an annoying alarm clock, reach over hit the snooze button and lay there thinking that you would like to throw that alarm clock out the window? (yet ever if you wanted to you are to tired to do so)  Laying there you hate the thought of getting out of your nice and comfortable bed.  All you want to do is sleep another 2 hours.  The alarm goes off again, you shut it off, grumble under your breath and get up feeling like your ass is filled with weights.  No energy or … (8 comments)

allegheny county: Possibility - 08/15/11 03:38 PM
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do.  So throw off the bowlines... Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.  Explore. Dream.  Discover
We live but once in the bodies and minds we have.  Make the best of what you have and ALWAYS work/strive to have a better day today than you did yesterday/yesteryear.

allegheny county: The Real Estate Ecomony - 08/15/11 03:30 PM
I have been hearing some agents talk about the concern about the economy.  Saying the stock market is down and the USA credit was downgraded from AAA to AA+.

allegheny county: School Reunion - 08/15/11 03:18 PM
My 20 year high school reunion is coming up Aug 27.  I'm excited to see everyone there.  I was VERY non social and kept to myself in school.  Now I'm in a business where talking and a positive spark are keys to success.  Putting this reunion together...the person organizing it had to step down due to her daughters illness.  I stepped in and getting everyone I can from class to be there.  Most of the people I contact (mostly thru facebook) don't even know who I am.  This reunion is going to be GREAT.  Now I'm outgoing and enjoy getting people … (0 comments)

allegheny county: Professionalism for our clients - 08/15/11 03:11 PM
Nothing is more pathetic that a (so called) professional that is nervous and stumbles and stutters through there presentation and answering questions.  I am a big hockey fan and all those hockey players have coaches and consistently practice (role play).  They are professionals and so are we.  If a pro athlete stops practicing (role playing), how long do you think they will stay a professional?  How long will they be recognized in their field?
We as professionals owe it to our clients to do role playing (practicing with others).  If we don't... we truly cheat our clients.
I used to role play … (2 comments)

allegheny county: Knowing the Market and Appraisals - 08/14/11 09:29 AM
I feel that we as professionals know the market well enough to let the sellers know what its worth and we provide the proof with our CMA's and other local market facts.  But if the seller(s) are set on a higher price then I think, its a great idea to have an appraisal done.  There are other realtor's out there that will tell the seller(s) that it will sell for the sellers price.  When that happens I tell them to get an appraisal before working with another Realtor.  If the appraisal comes in at my recommended price they list with me.. … (5 comments)

allegheny county: What makes me mad as hell - 08/13/11 09:18 AM
What makes me "mad as hell" is the lying on anyones end.  I will not tell a lie.  In main part is because its unethical, dishonest, and can hurt everyone involved.  Also trying to remember that lie would be hard to do.  If I don't know an answer I always to the person(s) " I don't know the answer but will find out and let you know asap"  You cant make chicken salad out of chicken sh*# but some people try.  That is when the Sh*# hits the fan and your reputation starts to go down hill.  Our reputation is everything … (4 comments)

allegheny county: 4th Quarter Running - 09/29/09 09:50 AM
With the $8000 tax credit coming to an end I am flooded with buyers "Rushing The Bus" to get offers in on houses so they can get closed before Dec. 1.  This 4th quarter is going to be the best 4th quarter of my career.   I'm sure that most of you out there are experiencing the same thing.  Its great-- This Christmas shopping will be of no worries financially.  Of all you out there, is there anyone NOT thriving in this market and NOT seeing their 4th quarter being very active?  If so, why?
I haven't been on AR all summer … (3 comments)

allegheny county: Western PA is a great place to live !! - 04/07/09 05:25 AM
Being in Western PA is a great place to live.
We are in the top 10 for real estate markets least affected by the fall in the house pricing economy.
Western PA may not have had the big rise in inflation a few years ago, but that is turn is helping our area in a massive way.  The higher you go ( with the great inflation spurts ) the harder you fall.  And Western PA was basically a "Flat Line" in that situation, which means we are in a very good position with our housing.
They are building a very large … (1 comments)
