banks: STD. What does sex have to do with it? - 09/21/09 06:31 AM

The Banking system has been infected with a deadly virus.  Their uncontrolled and un-checked greed has become the AIDS of our society, voraciously devouring and killing it's host as it spreads rapidly and without restraint, to every fiber of our world.
So here I go again.  I promised myself a few months back, that I would stop writing blogs about the abominable state of our financial system....that a more positive approach would be more welcome by those of us who attempt to create a brighter future through the power of a positive mental attitude.
I figured that my time would be best … (6 comments)

banks: Now hiring, liers and thieves.... - 03/25/09 06:19 AM
.....for available positions in upper management at major US Banks.  No experience necessary.
Glad to be back to the Wild West in Arizona, after a family emergency in Washington DC. .....although the Wild West here, feels gentle and peaceful compared to that jungle out there they call the "New York-DC Bubble", where crime and lawlessness is not only commonly accepted, but expected as part of being a professional...... (thief, that is).
Thank you Kent for catching me up to the latest of "Crime Watch" http://offshoreinn.com/investing/how-citigroup-incompetence-squanders-taxpayer-money/ .....this has got to be one of the most entertaining reality shows ever....ratings are soaring!
What's up with Citigroup's CEO Vikram … (5 comments)

banks: Never dip into your own stash. - 02/22/09 02:53 PM
Most of us are old enough to remember the grotesque impact, that the classic "Scarface", starring Al Paccino, made on some of us when it first came out.
Aside from the graphic violence and an intimate peek into a drug dealer's world, the one thing I remember, was Paccino's advise to his own cronies NOT to "ever dip into your own stash".
I know, .... you are wondering where the heck am I going with all this.....what in the world do drugs have to do with banking and real estate?
Let's rewind our thoughts for a moment..... have you noticed lately, … (6 comments)

banks: A four letter word - 02/13/09 07:51 AM
I hate to admit it, but "bank" has truly become a four letter word.
I was sitting at my desk a couple of days ago, when one of my co-workers going thru the MLS, rhetorically asked:  "price increases?....who the heck increases their prices in this kind of market?" I was busy and did not respond, but the question lingered in my head, bouncing around my skull like a shout in an echo chamber.
It was later that evening when checking e-mails, that I recognized the address on one of the"auto-prospecting" messages.  Sure enough, it was a listing where one of my … (35 comments)

banks: I'm glad you asked - 02/02/09 06:18 AM
Thank you Nicholas for your comment and your question.
"But when people say we are living in the midst of the most devastating economic down-turn since the Great Depression, history has it that during the Great Depression, unemployment was at 23%, during the Carter administration it was at 13% and interest rates at 19 and 20% for mortgages, now unemployment rate is a 9% and mortgage rates are at an all time low, how can anyone say this is the worst or most devastating economic down turn since the Great Depression?" comment by Nicholas Goglucci, last post 2/2/09.

banks: A tale of betrayal - 02/01/09 03:04 PM
Bank of America and a dozen other banks receiving tax payer's bail-out money, have been hiring thousands of foreign workers to replace American employees....
....read full article here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090201/ap_on_bi_ge/bailout_foreign_workers
In the midst of the most devastating economic down-turn since the Great Depression, these pathetic excuses for human beings, continue to betray the taxpayer, by laying-off thousands of American workers, just because they can get away with paying foreigners less money.....notice that upper management is still in place with their obscene salaries and bonuses.
WE the people, need to start writing our representatives to clean house, fire those greedy traitors, and revamp our financial system … (7 comments)

banks: The Wizards of Schmoz ..... - 01/30/09 08:27 AM

Schmoz, ....by definition, a Yiddish word signifying low-life, deceitful, criminal, despicable, unscrupulous, abominable, irresponsible, shameful and scum-bag-like behavior ...... a few notches below a schmuck or mashugana......
.......well, not really, I just made up that word  'cause I couldn't think of any word that would rhyme with OZ and would carry all those meanings.
But I just can't think of kinder words to describe the state and the players of our financial institutions.
Every morning I wake up thinking that there can be no more surprises of wrong-doing stemming from the financial world, but every morning I am proved wrong once again.

banks: Did you get the MEMO? - 01/27/09 03:38 AM
...you know,....the one about real estate agents getting bailed-out by the government? .......you didn't? ....neither did I!
But the banks did! ....to the tune of $350 billion and counting!  So why are the banks asking the realtors for a handout?
I grow increasingly appalled by the attitude that the banks have adopted, that the entire world owes them something.
Nobody knows where the $350 billion went, ... the banks are not answering any questions about it, ...there were no strings attached, ...AIG blew over $400,000 on an extravagant week-end party as soon as they got our money, ... B of A just got another $45 … (11 comments)
