wisconsin: Paradigms in Real Estate: preconceaved notions - 05/06/08 04:49 AM
Hello
Recently I was forced to look back at my life and make some pretty important decisions; prior I had paradigms that really may not have been the fact.
The same can exist in Real Estate. Brokers, Sellers, Buyers, and more can fall victim to this fast.
For example; If the market is bad it is bad everywhere.
Don't buy because of the economy because media enforces this idea. The real truth being that if you are working, and have good credit, the selection is wonderful, and interests rates are great.
Every home is a super deal. Yes, price is a variable, but good brokers have … (4 comments)

wisconsin: Happy Cinco de Mayo to everyone - 05/05/08 08:26 AM
Hello to all my wonderful friends
I wanted to take a moment out and extend a Happy and safe Cinco de Mayo Holiday in Waukesha, Milwaukee County and more.
My hat is off to any Country and say that is enough.
I have been gone a bit, but now I am slowly and effectively back in the business that I love and cherish
If you are looking for a Broker that will put his heart and Soul into helping you, I am the one.
I could only be satisfied when you are! There has never been a better time to buy a home or investment!

wisconsin: ahh, Soon it will be Saint Patrick day and little ones will be spewing green beer everywhere - 03/01/08 11:49 AM
Saint Patrick Day. I must confess. This Holiday has never made sense to me at all. IF he drove the snakes out of Ireland I am sure some came back.
And why does just about everyone get annihilated on this day. They put cabbage and corned beef , if they eat, in their stomachs, and then dowse it down with whisky, beer, and more beer. I see people get so damn drunk on Saint Patrick's day that they don't know their name. I am not kidding. I asked one guy "Who are you/" I got a uhhhh uuhuhhh aaahuuuhhhhaaaauhhhh. He had … (11 comments)

wisconsin: Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Home of the largest outdoor Music concerts:Summerfest - 02/24/08 11:23 AM
It is warming up in Wisconsin, and that means that soon life will be booming and sizzling like there was no tomorrow.
Why? Because it is almost time for Summerfest. Hundreds of top acts from around the Country. The best. You could literally go there in the morning and watch different shows on dozens of stages. Acts like Rush, and acts that leave you speechless.
The food is awesome, and it is right on the Lake. This is awesome and if you can ever make it to Wisconsin in the end of June for the following days you can watch everyone from Tom … (9 comments)

wisconsin: Another lesson from a past Wisconsin Bee farmer. Creatures of habits - 02/23/08 08:39 AM
The temperature is warming up in Wisconsin and old habits and rituals start coming into play again; even if they are something you have not done for awhile. Come April the Bee farmers will go out to their colonies and unwrap the protection so the bees can get ready for Spring. The Queen will be checked to see how she is doing, the drones and workers as well. The hives with be checked for any pests or animals that may have tried to get at them.
This is something I miss. Going out in the middle of fields, no one else … (10 comments)

wisconsin: How do we really define success? A few thoughts and I welcome your comments. - 02/23/08 05:09 AM
I was recently talking to Cathy LaClear, which is Matt Laclear's wife. I really enjoy talking to her because she is just so down to Earth, has great faith, and is a genuine person. Matt is an awesome guy. He and Hank can motivate you, help you, and really make you a better, more productive person. His attitude just shines. As we talked we were chatting about people that had fought illnesses and came out victorious. Anyone that has fought a terminal illness and has gotten through it, or has it totally maintained, or pretty well maintained, will tell you that … (4 comments)

wisconsin: Real Estate magic?Good Samaritan work? A look at Harry Houdini and Mr. Rogers - 02/12/08 05:00 AM
Harry Houdini. That guy just never quit.Something that is said over and over when his name is mentioned. Tenacity and determination. Two words that can drive a person to focus and concentrate on doing the best they can, and accomplishing the things that others say cannot be accomplished. I have to believe if someone looked at Harry Houdini in the eyes and said "you can't do it" it would only make a person like him that much more motivated and determined. It is a mindset that we all strive for.

Sooner or later as individuals we come to a point … (22 comments)

wisconsin: Real Estate. Our Career, our Job, our Passion, our Greatness!!!! - 02/07/08 09:35 AM
Hard work and effort. It is something that has been instilled in our makeup for years. So has it is just as important to work smart as it is hard. As Realtors, we have a job that consists of some pretty intense critical thinking at times, social work, and just a job of balancing time, money, and emotions. Real Estate does  not require us to be an "Einstein", nor does it have to be rocket science, or highly impacted polymer chemistry. It does require a sense of good judgement, a love for people, and a pure desire to make a difference … (21 comments)

wisconsin: Questioning things,authority and being ourselves:one Tom Braatz - 02/03/08 10:21 AM
I was able to drive by my old farm the other day and I still get a grin on my face when I think of the crazy stupid stuff I would do to get a look up to the hill, or the people that would peek down my driveway to see what I was up to.
First off, I am not your ordinary kind of guy. I can go to extremes, and it is not out of my realm to do really bizarre things to get a reaction.
For example, I lived pretty close to a touristy City named Cedarburg. I was well … (10 comments)
