The Glen Burnie Improvement Association will open it's 102nd annual Big Glen Burnie Carnival at 7 pm on Friday, July 31. The carnival will run through August 8, closed on Sunday.
Admission is FREE
The carnival grounds are located on Central Ave across the street from the County Parking Garage, where you can park for free,. Parking is also available on Baltimore Annapolis Blvd..
The carnival offers more than 20 different amusement rides for kids and adults, games of chance and skill, bingo games in the pavilion, a car raffle and food. The proceeds of the Carnival benefit the Glen Burnie Improvement Association and the community groups that it sponsors.
Gas and Go Raffle $2 ea or 3/$5
1st Prize $750 Exxon gas card
2nd Prize $500 Exxon gas card
3rd Prize $250 Exxon gas card
The winning ticket will be drawn on the last night of the carnival.
Car Raffle for a 2009 Ford Focus
4 door sedan from Bob Bell Ford
Tickets: $2 each or 3/$5
The drawing will be held as the carnival closes on Aug 8.
Ride Tickets
Patrons can purchase a "ride all night" wrist band for $16 until 9:30 pm Monday through Thursday, no rainchecks or refunds.
All ride tickets cost $1 each.
Kids' rides use 1 ticket and most major rides use 3 tickets.
The Glen Burnie Volunteer Fire Department will staff the First Aid station at the carnival again this year.
Volunteers will be manning the carnival booths to sell chances on a raffle for two season tickets for Ravens home games, 2nd prize is a 15 hp riding lawn mower. 3rd prize is a 32" LCD HD tv, 4th prize is a Blue Ray player, 5th prize a fire chief pedal car. Tickets are $2 ea or 3/$5 or 7/$10. The winning ticket will be drawn on Aug 8.
