Too often, we walk right by a thing of beauty without giving it even a moments thought... take the time to 'stop and smell the roses' today.
Everything has it's beauty but not everyone sees it.

Thanks Rebecca! Happy you like it!
Hi Cynthia - Dreamy - yes! I like that description :) I was amazed at the ripples and how it made the reflection look. There was a water feature not far from it that gave the great effect in the water.

Hi Debi -
Such a lovely quote to go along with your wonderful photo! You are one talented lady!
Hey, Debi. I am just in awe of this photo. I would hang this one in my home. Thanks for sharing, Jim
Your photos are such a blessing to see everyday.
Debi, I love the photo. It reminds me of a Monet painting. You certainly have an eye for beauty
Very beautiful... is this a photo... real film? or do you develop your own film and enhance it? it is drop dead gorgeous ... the colors are stunning... thanks
Hi Debi, I read that Confucius quote earlier today! :o) I look the beautiful effect and colors in your photo.
Hi Karen, Thank you! I appreciate your comments!
Hello Jim - Thank you so much! You honor me, I'm so glad you enjoy my work. :)
Hi Kate - Thank you - it was nice of you to visit!
Hi Debra - This is a digital photo - and while I often use Photoshop to enhance a photo, this is pretty much as it was. The lighting was perfect, and a water feature created the wonderful ripple effect.
Hi Shirley! you did? where? here in the Rain? Thanks for the compliments on the photo!
Debi
So true thanks for sharing the photo and words of wisdom... Enjoy the week
Hey Debi,
Great photo as always.
Did you enhance those ripples at all in Photoshop?
If so, please tell me what effect you used.
If not, you captured one great looking shot there
Thanks Diane - You too!
Hi Craig - No, the ripples are exactly as they were when I took the photo!
If you want to cause a ripple effect using photoshop, I would use the liquify filter. I used it to create a mirror image of this orchid (below). It's a fun tool.
Hi Debi-That is a spectacular pic. Youm just keep getting better and better my friend. :-)
Debi - It is so true about taking time to see the beauty. My son spent a great deal of time on an aircraft carrier during his 20 years in the Navy. I remember one trip home after one 6 month deployment. I looked out the kitchen window, and he was smelling, and carefully examining each and every flower in the garden.
That's a wonderful picture by the way!
Beautiful photo, Debi! The effects of nature are far better than anything Photoshop can do.
Hi Pat! So glad you enjoyed it! It just gets funner and funner, LOL!
Myrl, that's a wonderful story - I'm glad you shared it with me. My Dad was in the Navy. I can't imagine 6-9 mos. out at sea. What a joy it must be to be on land again, and to enjoy the beauty of those things you have missed.
Thank you John! Nice to have you visit!
Debi
I have never seen such fluid color Debi! This is beautiful...
Happy Wednesday with this thought,
Paul
