You may not have noticed but there are pockets of HOT markets going on in San Diego, CA. I am a REALTOR in North County SD, Ramona, which is a rural area. One of these markets is the first time buyer-under $350K buyer. These homes are being snatched up as quickly as they are put on MLS. So what gives? Well, there is now competition out there, which is a good thing. You are competing with first time buyers ( the tax credit incentive for 8K that must be completed by 11/30/2009), Cash buyer Investors and also 2nd home or vacation home buyers. All of these contribute to a shortage of homes in this price range. Believe it or not we are now seeing multiple offers in this range. For the first time in a long time I have more buyers than homes to sell. Maybe this market is turning around. We can only hope. Hang in there buyers, there are some really good deals out there worth the wait.
